I am an ikon pass holder, I bought 2 visitor passes for my guests who were visiting for the weekend, to go to the sundeck restaurant. I scanned my guests’ passes one by one and let them in, after that I scanned my own and got in. The barrier opened and closed three times right in front of the gondola attendant as I scanned the passes. Right after I got in myself, the gondola attendant yelled at me, do you have passes? I went, yes, we are going to the sundeck restaurant. And then she said, did you pay for those passes? I don’t know what she expected me to say, but I kept calm, and said yes. And then she grabbed the passes out of my hand, and said you’re supposed to scan them, which I did a second ago, right in front of her. She scanned the tickets for the second time, and then let us take the gondola. I mean, I understand, and respect that you have to control the flow of people entering the ski resort. No pictures can justify the amazing beauty that you can see once you take the Gondola from Silver Queen Gondola all the way to top of Aspen mountain. Even if you are not a skier, you can still buy lift ticket (which is pretty expensive) but totally worth it.
The only disappointment we had and for which I took a star away was that the staff at Silver Queen Gondola wanted us to buy some sort of big package including ski fees etc. As me and my family didn’t ski, the staff members kept trying for us to leave the line with finding random reasons ( tickets are sold out, are you dressed warm enough, the sight seeing starts later time, come back later etc.). My husband had to talk to the supervisor as we purchased those expensive tickets. It was bad experience in terms of Gondola staff team members. But the ride, the views, the calmness on top of the mountain, was really top...

Outside, there’s a spacious deck with tables and lounge chairs where you can relax and enjoy the views.
You need to purchase a ticket to go up. There were no clear signs for parking, we parked on the street and paid...
