5 Day Itinerary for Colorado ⬇️ We had the best time exploring @visitcolorado and were able to knock so many things off our list in just 5 days! Here’s everything we got up to (save for future planning): ✈️ We flew into Denver and drove 3 hours to Glenwood Springs and checked into @thehotelcolorado. In Greenwood Springs be sure to check out: 🥾Hike Hanging Lake (3 miles, permits are required) 🛍️Explore downtown Gleenwood- there are so many cute shops and boutiques! 😌 Soak at @ironmountainhotsprings - so beautiful here and relaxing 🚣🏾♀️ Go whitewater rafting with @raftdefiance. This excursion was so scenic and fun as you float down the river through the canyon 🥘 Eat at Slope & Hatch, The Pullman, The Daily Bread, and Hotel Colorado Restaurant After 2 days there we drove 1 hour to Aspen, CO 🚗 and checked into @limelighthotel in Snowmass In Aspen be sure to: 🥾 Hike the Rim Trail South to the spiral point (2.5 miles) 🚠 Ride the gondola up to the top in Aspen to take in the mountain views 🛍️ Explore @snowmass Village 🥾Hike to Cathedral Lakes (5 miles, challenging but very worth it) 🥘Eat at The Stew Pot, Meat & Cheese 🛍️ Explore Downtown Aspen Have you been to Colorado before? #ColoradoLive #VisitColoradoPartner

If I could give 10 stars, I will give 10 stars to this place. It’s a must To Do if you are in Aspen. The beautiful world around you is unbelievable. No pictures can justify the amazing beauty that you can see once you take the Gondola from Silver Queen Gondola all the way to top of Aspen mountain. Even if you are not a skier, you can still buy lift ticket (which is pretty expensive) but totally worth it. The only disappointment we had and for which I took a star away was that the staff at Silver Queen Gondola wanted us to buy some sort of big package including ski fees etc. As me and my family didn’t ski, the staff members kept trying for us to leave the line with finding random reasons ( tickets are sold out, are you dressed warm enough, the sight seeing starts later time, come back later etc.). My husband had to talk to the supervisor as we purchased those expensive tickets. It was bad experience in terms of Gondola staff team members. But the ride, the views, the calmness on top of the mountain, was really top of the world.

You can buy tickets online in order to lose anytime buying tickets at the booth. Last ride is at 4pm up and down at 4:30pm. Nice ride, smooth; even though I felt some anxiety going up and down, but I feel it when flying with airplanes, so if you don’t have any issues with it, you’ll enjoy it. Aspen view is one of the best and the ride is approx 14min. Up you can enjoy a snack, meal, something to drink and even to hang out with your kids.

Not a skier anymore, but I can’t imagine visiting Aspen without taking a ride to the summit. The views are breathtaking and the insulated silence at the top is unforgettable. Be sure to explore the summit and when the winds and cold become too much, warm up with some coffee or cocoa before begrudgingly taking the return trip back down. It’s an amazing slice of nature.

*SUMMER* 15-20min to reach the sun deck. View is priceless, you can spot bears and gooses if it’s your day. Paid $70 to go up and down for me and my wife, kids under 6years old free. Not sure about parking, came on the free bus from the hotel. Easier to handle to park a car and pay for parking. Definitely coming back! Not 5* because I think it’s too pricey on summer.

The Silver Queen Gondola is one of the longest and coolest gondola rides in the United States. The views at the top are breathtaking. A three pack of rides can be purchased for 46 dollars, which is a bargain compared to what Vail charges for their gondola rides in the summer. Aspen is also much more pet friendly, which is a plus if you have a dog with you.
