Last time I'll go there. I wanted to like this place. It has good food, and prices aren't bad. Quite reasonable for Aspen.
On a good day, the service can be surprisingly, frustratingly slow despite a well laid out quick service kitchen and plenty of people behind the counter. But this is not what stopped me from going to Big Wrap entirely.
I went into Big Wrap and a woman I believe to be the OWNER or manager was standing in close quarters with the cold table (full of exposed food) and several employees, NOT WEARING A MASK, facing them and lecturing them from maybe 2 feet away - not to mention the very small restaurant is crowded with lots of other people.
Following this, she personally rings me up. Puts $7something into the register, consistent with the price on the menu. Register says $8something after adding tax. Owner asks for $10. I look at register, she says "there's tax sir." Again, I clearly saw her put in the menu amount and the register add tax on the display.
Slow, disorganized service had me annoyed with this place but being shady with pricing and showing a willfull disregard for public health and the law.... these are...
Read moreAs a longtime Aspen local, The Big Wrap has been a go-to spot for years—and for good reason. It’s one of the rare places in town where you can count on fresh, healthy food at a reasonable price without sacrificing flavor or speed.
The staff has always been friendly, upbeat, and welcoming, even during the busiest lunch rushes. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite between ski runs or picking up a post-hike recharge, they keep the vibe casual and the service efficient.
Favorites like the Hail Caesar and To Thai For never miss, but everything on the menu is solid. The ingredients are consistently fresh, and the portion sizes hit that sweet spot—satisfying without being over-the-top.
In a town where dining can feel overpriced or overhyped, The Big Wrap is the real deal. Affordable, consistent, and local-loved. Still one of the best lunch...
Read moreI have lived and worked in Aspen for 17 years.. and there's just nothing better in this town for lunch in terms of quality, price and convenience. I keep cash on hand just for a Big Wrap impulse. The owner and her team are beyond friendly and the service is 5-star. Today, I was stranded at the office at 3pm without having eaten all day. I called for my usual order, Swift Kick in a Bowl + chips... and asked if they were still delivering. It's practically the end of the season and I didn't expect the response that I got: "Are you within walking distance? We'll bring it over to you, no problem." Pretty sure that I've never encountered such a gracious favor in all my years in Aspen, by a busy restaurant. Big Wrap, YOU ROCK! This town is so lucky to have your loyal service all these years....
