Aspen Alps Condominiums — Local services in Aspen

Is this place livable? yes. Is there ski in/out? depending on the unit. Can you walk into town? No, not with any ease if you’re in a higher up unit - they don’t plow the stairs so you either have to walk all the way around, drive or have their shuttle come get you (if it’s available)

They also have signage indicating pool closes at 9, but we were in the hot tub and when we got out (before 9) they had already locked the change rooms (and barely apologized)

They have minimal consideration for their guests who may be sleeping - starting up their cat / plow machine before 8am (all noises included and echoing as it’s in a hollow) - (& no, It had not snowed the night prior)

The foyer of our unit has a gap between the door and the frame making it unbearably cold throughout the entire downstairs unless blasting the heat with closed doors in the bedroom (although housekeeping won’t close the bedroom doors behind them, I even returned one afternoon to find they left the balcony door to my bedroom open).

The staff I’ve had direct contact with, for the most part, has been helpful and nice but for the price I’ll stay...

I’ve showed a few units and attended open houses in here. The building is generally older, some of the units need updating inside, and others have been completely redone. It can sometimes be a little confusing to figure out where to park to get to a specific unit number, since it’s a little spread out, so it’s best to check in with the concierge desk first. They have some solid amenities here that many other condo buildings in Aspen don’t have. Giving them 5 stars just because the super walkable location next to the Nell and ski-in/ski-out to Ajax, simply...

“Best family friendly place to stay.” We stay at the Aspen Alps every summer and again in the winter. The service is consistently top notch, from the office staff to the bellman to the housekeepers. Location is superb, right near the Gondola and minutes from the center of town. Anytime we need a ride to the airport or just around town, the staff is ready from early morning to late in the evening....
