I stayed here because of it's location next to Aspen mountain. I wanted a ski in / ski out location. My experience was fantastic. ||My flight into Aspen Airport was delayed. I contacted the hotel concierge to notify them and they said the would be tracking my flight in order to have someone there to pick me up when my flight landed. Sam was there waiting for me with a smile and was very friendly. Unfortunately my luggage did not make it on my flight and did not arrive until the next day. Jason at the front desk was very helpful in getting me as many toiletries as they had to help me make it through the night. The next day Brad took me back to the airport to pick up my luggage.||||My main reason for my trip was to ski. The Ski Concierge group was great. They walked me to the rental shop to get my skis, boots and poles and even carried them back to the Residence for me. Every morning they greeted me by name and even helped me put on my prewarmed boots. They even provided snacks and sun screen. They gondola is located just a few yards outside of the Residence door and they have your skis waiting for you on their private rack that is located just a few feet from the snow. They were also able to provide me with my lift ticket.||||The room was very nice. Breakfast in the mornings was provided in the Owners Lounge and was excellent. They had coffee and hot chocolate available throughout the day.||The gym was large and had everything you could want. The heated pool and hot tub on the roof had an amazing view.||My flight did not leave until 5:00pm, and they were very gracious enough to let me stay until 1;00pm before I needed to check out.||Great experience. I would definitely stay...
Read moreAs we were walking by on the sidewalk, one of the valet driving an escalade almost killed my wife, dog and I. We were walking past on the sidewalk up the Galena hill and the guy hits my wife as she is pounding on the vehicle to stop. We were screaming at him. He didn't fully stop until I came up and pounded on the side of the vehicle. He didn't apologize or see if my wife was okay, rather proclaimed "I was looking" when I yelled in his face that he almost killed the most important parts of my life. Afterward we called wanting to speak to a manager and thinking the driver may have been intoxicated. A lady answered the phone and said she would call back after talking to a manager. She didn't. After about an hour without a call back I called the shift manager, he basically played down the whole event and called the general manager who was not there. He refused to investigate the sobriety of the driver. Thirty minutes later he called me back and offered a completely unprofessional apology. They didn't offer or try to apologize to my wife, they didn't ask if she was okay. They made absolutely zero ameliorative efforts.
Bottom line, there are many luxurious places to stay in Aspen, I would highly suggest researching other options that place a higher value on the community and the people in it. These clowns didn't even have the professionalism to make sure we were okay after we had to dodge an escalade that ended up swiping my wife until we pounded on the vehicle for him to stop. Could you imagine what would've happened if it was a couple little kids going back to their room or walking to...
Read moreSo we have stayed at numerous outstanding ski based hotels and I can say that the Residences at the Little Nell is right at or near the top of all the places we have ever been. You can't get a better location as the gondola is right outside the door, the hotel is absolutely beautiful and is located right in the heart of the best ski town in the country, the service was top notch, and the room was extremely comfortable.
We stayed in a first floor two queen courtyard room which made me a little hesitant but we ended up really loving the room which was around 500 square feet and opened up to an outdoor firepit that we used every night. The other great feature about this hotel was the light breakfast in the morning and apres in the afternoon they served were included with the stay and we looked forward to both everyday. (Especially the apres!)
In any event, if you're looking to stay at one of the top ski properties in the country this is one of the places to be along side the Stein Eriksen Residences in Deer Valley and the Madeline...
