I was basically born in church. I was teaching Sunday school by the age of 12. I have been a minister for two decades and I have planted a church. I mention all of that to say this. I have never been affiliated with a church like this one. Each and EVERY WEEK the church leaves me full. There are no empty calories in the sermons, and I always leave a better man than I was when I entered the sanctuary. I am one of those people who take notes on a laptop as the word is being ministered and often, I return home to re read my notes and I always get a fresh revelation. Recently I found myself in a situation beyond my control and the church came through for me in a way I cannot even describe with words. The prayer team even sent out a message to pray for me (which I was not even aware of until recently) and the Benevolence coordinator was there for me as well. I have been in churches who were there when you were up – but when you stumbled, they were nowhere to be found. That is not apart of the Buckhead Church DNA. So often Ive noticed that people can use this forum to point out negative experiences. Therefore like the one leaper that returned to say thank you in Luke 17:11-19, I just want to say thank Pastor Stanley, thank you Pastor Thomas, thank you Pastor Farmer and thank you to all who work so diligently in the vineyards of our Lord and Savior

A pretty good overall experience. Traveled from out of town and this church was local enough to my hotel. In an effort to not miss out on my regular Sunday services I made it a point to attend. The topic for the sermon series that week was around "Patience." Something many of us can all use more of. The delivery was well put together. The supporting examples were humorous and relatable. The praise and worship was good. In it's entirety the service was short and sweet. About an hour 15 minutes. When traveling to Atlanta I normally stay in the Buckhead area, this will be a church I frequent if my visits extend beyond Saturday. If you're seeking the word and would like to fellowship on a Sunday, it's worth it to drop in.

If you’re looking for a non-denominational church that understand the modern lifestyle and beer stand you, then come here. The leaders are genuine and real, they live in 2019 not in 300 A.D. Their messages are well thought-out and focus on the events in Jesus’ life and not on the dogma and doctrines of religion. This branch of the church in particular has an entire team of volunteers just to greet you and make sure you feel welcomed and can find a seat. The music here is also phenomenal and they bring in top quality musicians and singers every Sunday. Check out the photos below for an idea. They also provide child care and Sunday school classes all the way up to high school ages.

Greetings Andy in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. I'm not sure is the letter that I wrote and the pictures what I sent a few minutes ago really got sent I don't think the did. So Im writing you again and I'll say what I said before. I've been going to your Papas church for I guess about 12 years my favorite part about it is in touch ministries add to listen to him minister. By the Spirit of God for the past couple years of so I haven't gone as much as I wanted to because of complications but I wanted to tell you that I used to live in Buckhead a few miles. From where your church was on Roswell Road. And we have 30 acres out in Alpharetta, that's family properties that we've had since 1960 we had a hundred acres we have 30 left but that's where I usually stay at right around the corner from North Point because I've been to both churches several times. I was amazed at what I saw was saw peoples there everytime I went. Over the years. Your name came up the other day more than once is I was sitting in the dentist chair having a lot of fun. Haha. Gail is a very very sweet lady. She told me all grew up together and that she goes to Buckhead church I'm not baptised I'm just a Christian I've been that way long long time. One of the most amazing things that I've seen it the churches are all the young people. And how excited how excited they were. Is that brought great joy to my heart. To see the money work for the Lord is doing free you and I and the people surrounding you in a special enough people to get ministered too.. That's amazing to see God do things like that! I love to watch the younger crowd and the older crowded too. Still having a serious doubts about you receiving the first letter I sent just before this you're just gonna disappear what I was trying to add another picture onto it how to get it because it was the best.. Much is a time I stay on the corner of Morrison Parkway in Haines Bridge Road just passed 400. I got a portable when close single car garage car like real big tent 10 by 20 by 8. That's where I spend most of my time but right now I'm in Midtown at my uncles for a few nights because it fell on broken is it I'm is recovering good. I was shocked to hear over the Internet a few months back visit Joel Osteen had the largest church in America I did not know that. Then second in line was North Point Church name it's been the second largest church in the country Wow I never would have guessed your father taught you well and God has blessed your whole family with some mighty mighty giftings, greatly enabling Him to use you and your precious dad to bless many many others that need so much to loving touch of conviction and salvation , healing's an miracles thousands of lives into the millions of Souls, into the kingdom and it shall increasing. and increase, because of his purpose in because of his plan is love for us is what it's all about. He loves us so much there's not anything he wouldn't do for those are willing to obey Him. One of my favorite scriptures now that he's is and Matthew chapter 4 call meh mighty hand of the Lord in their lives feeling his love the feeling is power and bringing Souls into the kingdom of Lords and the backsliders are His children too. As you clearly see the time is drawing very very close . Do you see many ministers intensely speaking about what's going on in this world right now? I would like to know , for to see along these lines up how close we are to the into the very end of the end times, you know it your dad knows it and I know it and we're not the only ones I just don't understand why the its are not being shaken more than they are yet. I'm sure some major catastrophe is Very very close very come up will good make sure you get this god bless you and Andy I'm your entire, ministry and work of the Lord in His Love I give you my Blessings, which come straight from Him, God Bless You Migbtly with His Love, breaking the chains of bondage in setting the captives free !!...

This church is fine to go to here and there, but most of the time you are watching the pastor on a screen. It’s extremely impersonal, which is the opposite of what a church should be as its intended to be rooted in live community.

I also want to mention that they closed during a snow day, which is totally valid they didn’t want to have an in person service. What bothered me was that the pastor decided not to preach.. so you’re telling me that as a pastor, the snow is blocking your ability to video tape yourself for a new sermon? Everyone was encouraged to “catch up” on previous sermons that week. I find this really really weird for a pastor to not provide a sermon just because of the church being closed physically. It doesn’t have to be all formal, but come on. I feel like for a church this big, it’s crazy you didn’t have a single pastor capable of preaching online that day..

Personally, I want to be at a church where the pastors have so much conviction and desire to share the message they worked on that week, and it is not limited due to weather or the absence of technical aesthetics.

I feel like this church cares a lot about it’s look. The investment in the tech alone is extensive, which is fine, but once again, as a church, I think I’d prefer a church that still prioritizes sermons above aesthetics.

This church is just missing a genuine feel. It’s close by and convenient, but convenience isn’t enough to keep coming back where there is a lack of authenticity and connection. I will say as a single woman, I am typically not greeted at the door. It’s a 50/50 chance the greeters will not say anything to me, and I’m used to it, but isn’t that sad? Everyone regardless of sex, race, age should feel welcome when stepping into a place of God. I do not feel the love here and that’s my own opinion regarding my own experience.

If you are just looking for a place to go to church and be done, this may suit your needs. But if you are looking for community & a genuine connection with others, I think there are...

Andy Stanley's teaching may be detailed and serve a purpose if you can get passed the rudeness of the people at the church. Greeters say hello and that's the most interaction you receive as a guest. The pastor speaks about acceptance but the church feels cold and does not appear to accept real life diversity. With the exception of broader discussions, and prayers for Charlottesville for example. Real life. Real people. This team sucks. and Fails miserably. Today I went to the 1 pm service kicking off Guardrails. I could not even go in for the empty feeling that came over me. I just did not want to feel alone in a big church. I feel like I am just there and you go a little numb because it is kinda a lonely feeling in church. I expect this at work, general social settings but these people just bump into like you are not there, or look you in the face and ignore you. I signed up for a Singles class outdoor activity this Summer talk about a clique. It was like being back in high school. Needless to say I did not meet a single significant contact. Chris G and team were just putting together outings and between all the movements facilitation of connection was absent. I was going to Dawsonville to Amicalola falls and I could not even find the group. And that's a long way away. Given there was so many places in Atlanta vicinity I have no idea why 1.5 hours drive was needed. Connecting with people in this church has been difficult and I think I will have to let this go. I am giving the women's group a shot but we shall see. Hopefully it is not a bunch of...
