Buckhead is more than fancy restaurants, stores, traffic and offices. To release some endorphins, there are a few nature trails. Very walkable, paved, clean, and it feels safe. You can hear highway traffic, but it isn’t too distracting. There are hills on the trails, so be mindful of your physical health when venturing out. I gave four stars only because it is not a nature park setting and you can see the highway. But for big city living, it’s a great place to walk, jog, ride a bike, walk your pet, and decompress. Enjoy the birds and squirrels.

Paved walking path, shaded and full sun parts. Markers for miles. Bird watchers delight on the retention pond. There are local muralists featured throughout as well. Park at Eclipse d'luna and walk up the incline to take the path to the right. At the top, you can go forward to get to the street next to some condos, or go left to get to Lenox Mall. There are grassy places to picnic as well.

Path is still under construction but the swamp and green space in middle of a urban areas is great. Not a peaceful nature path but a convenient way to get from Cheshire Bridge / Sidney Marcus to Lenox / Peachtree Hills. PATH400 runs along the spine of GA 400 and, once complete, will provide a 5.2 mile greenway through the heart of Buckhead, connecting neighborhoods, office and retail locations with a path for bicyclists and pedestrians.

The multi-use greenway will eventually join with the Atlanta Beltline in the south and trails in Sandy Springs and north Fulton County, providing a key link in a regional trail network.

PATH400 is the first step toward implementation of the Buckhead Collection, a planned network of 106 acres of parks and trails in the...
