Good Food & Great Service
I previously visited a Ru Sans in North Carolina. This location lacks the ambiance of that one, but the food was still good and the service was amazing. Cheyenne, our waitress, made several recommendations. She did not steer us wrong. Cheyenne had a lot of personality and was very attentive.
We ordered the following:
Caribbean Breeze (Conch and Spinach Dish) - Full Disclosure, this is not going to taste like Conch that you find in the Caribbean, but it is not supposed to. We are in Atlanta! With that said, this dish was very good. There is so much flavor. It really gets the taste buds going. Be advised, the Conch is very firm.
Shrimp Fried Rice - This was very flavorful as well. My companion compared it to Thai style fried rice.
Sake Mojito - I thought this was tasty, but a little weak upon first trying it. I was wrong it sneaks up on you.
Hot Wok Tiger Shrimp - This was absolutely delicious. The shrimp chips go so well with the freshly made spicy guacamole.
Super Volcano Roll - If you like shrimp tempura, you will like this roll. I thought it was just okay. I wanted to try something different, so I chose this roll. I am more of a raw sushi person. I also found the rice to be a bit mushy, rather than sticky.
If you go to this location be sure to ask for Cheyenne. She will not...
Read moreMy wife and I recently visited Ru Sans Sushi and Seafood and tried a few different maki rolls. Overall, my experience was pretty good, but there were some hits and misses with the different rolls.
Out of the rolls I tried, the Fried Garlic Maki was definitely my favorite. The garlic added a nice flavor to the roll and it was cooked perfectly. I would highly recommend this roll to anyone who likes garlic and sushi.
The Shiitake Mushroom maki was also pretty good. The mushrooms were fresh and the roll was well-made, but it didn't stand out as much as the Fried Garlic Maki.
The Pickled Scallion maki, unfortunately, was a bit of a disappointment. I love pickled flavors but this one didn't seem like pickled at all, it was basically just raw scallions with no flavor.
Lastly, the Cream Cheese Maki was decent but not exceptional. It was a bit heavy on the cream cheese and could have used a bit more balance in terms of flavors. It was still enjoyable though.
Overall, my experience with Ru Sans Sushi and Seafood was positive. While some of the rolls were better than others, I appreciate the variety of vegetarian options in their menu. If you're looking for a new sushi spot to try out, I would recommend giving...
Read moreI went this restaurant with my friend for dinner on Saturday. We both love and had sashimi and sushi in different Asian countries. Such as, I had eaten sashimi and sushi in Japan and South Korea. We had a menu named “Rusan’s Combination B for Two” for our dinner. My friend and I love sashimi and sushi. This combination set for 2 is the menu for 2 people and is composed of fried rice, roll, sushi, and sashimi. We were both excited about having sushi and sashimi here because previous reviews say this restaurant is good. However, sushi pieces come with only one piece for each, not 2 pieces. Each sushi should be come two pieces because it is a part of the menu for “2.” More disappointing factor is that qualities of sushi and sashimi are not good (I really hate to put bad qualitied sushi and sashimi into my mouth). This restaurant uses the lower quality of sashimi, and because of that, we, my friend and me, could eat all. Sushi restaurant uses lower quality of sashimi, so that I can give only one star. Fried rice is good though. This was my first visit here and will be...
