I want to emphasize that I am giving Forth Hotel 5 stars specifically because of the excellent customer service provided by Kali, Jaylen, Marlo, Lance, and Erica. Otherwise, I would probably give a rating of more like 3 stars. I stayed here overnight on July 11th while in town for the Cowboy Carter concert at the MBS. The hotel architecture on the outside is beautiful and very eye catching. The inside lobby area is sophisticated, swank, and quaint. My room on the 7th floor was a decent size, had a wonderful view of the beltline and the rooftop bar, lighting wasn’t the best, beds were very firm but slept well, toilet area had a bit of an odor, which could be easily resolved with a good sanitizing solution cleaning. The pool has a DJ on Saturday with live super loud music. Started around noon, so no nap/sleep until it ends (I’m not sure how long they party). Lance at the hotel’s athletic club assured my sorority sister that Elektra served great breakfast. Erica was our server and she was awesome and the food was good. I experienced an issue with plugging my curling iron into the wall socket, this caused the circuit to cut the entire bathroom area off twice, which was an inconvenience for me, however Kali Fernandes the Associate Front Desk Manager promptly had an electrician cut everything back on. Kali also patiently listened to all of my other concerns and advised she would address those that she could. Kali advised she would follow-up on the odor in the toilet area, the electrical issue, and she apologized for the loud DJ/music that they have at the pool on Saturday (it’s literally like a party and you couldn’t sleep if you wanted to). She offered to change my room out, however I saw no point since I needed to get ready to check-out. I ended up not attempting to plug my curlers in again. Also, please note - they don’t have irons, only a steamer, and no USB plugs for cell phones, watches, computers ||, etc. The lighting is also not great. She went above and beyond and provided Top Tier Exceptional customer service to make certain I left with a good feeling about Forth Hotel. Especially the potential circuit hazard. At check-out Kali, Jaylen, and the Concierge Manager Marlo Moore were once again very apologetic and asked that I give Forth another opportunity in the future.||Marlo also graciously grabbed my luggage and accompanied me to my vehicle in self-parking, and again apologized for what I experienced during my stay. I asked for business cards from Kali, Marlo, Jaylen, and Lance and was rather surprised that not one of them had business cards. Requesting on their behalf, can someone please get these individuals some business cards like yesterday. l'd also like to say that I hope Forth Hotel is treating these employees as good as they are treating the guests. Kali, Jaylen, Marlo, Erica, and Lance are all "Top Tier" employees. After the service I received from those mentioned in this review I just may give them...
Read moreLet me start with the positives. The Forth Hotel is visually stunning, in an unbeatable Beltline location, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The staff, especially Marlo at concierge, Chef Jonathan at Elektra, Chef John and server David at Il Premio, and servers Edmond and Samone, were all fantastic and really were the highlight of my stay! But unfortunately, the overall experience didn’t meet expectations mainly due to how difficult it was to access the highly marketed amenities that make this hotel appealing in the first place. ||The rooftop restaurant, Moonlight, was one of the main reasons I chose this hotel, but getting in as a guest was nearly impossible (still haven't gotten in). No one seemed to be on one accord on entry either. I received different instructions from different staff members one said you could just go up, another mentioned a waitlist, and eventually, the rooftop hostess informed us that on weekends they don’t do waitlists at all. It’s walk in only, and based on availability. We got the text 48 mins later. It was confusing and honestly pretty frustrating that hotel guests aren’t given any kind of priority and you'd think because guests are only here a limited amount of days it'd be different.||Same goes for the pool. You have to make a reservation just to have a chair, and they book up fast and are reserved for 2.5 hrs so don't think you'll just go to the pool like a normal hotel and get comfortable. If you don’t have one, you’re left sitting on the hot concrete with a towel and best wishes. And you’re not just competing with other guests, Atlanta locals and Forth club members can also can reserve, which makes things even more limited. I do wish I chose a hotel more guest experienced focused now. To add to all that, service was really slow. A frozen cocktail likely out of a machine took 30+ mins.Wine took about 20.||When I booked the hotel, I specifically asked about access to these amenities and was told guests shouldn't have any issues and that reservations would be easy to make. That just wasn’t the case at all. If anything, it felt like outside visitors were given more access and priority than paying hotel guests (a king bed was $414/night), which doesn’t make sense for a luxury property at this price point.||To be fair, the gym was excellent well equipped and clean, and the spa locker rooms had everything you’d need. And again, the service from many of the staff members was a highlight. But overall, the experience felt like a bit of a letdown. If you’re booking The Forth do it months in advance not for a quick fn weekend or with only a couple weeks notice and just know that unless you’ve made reservations for the on property amenities weeks if not months l in advance, you may not get to enjoy it. For the cost, I expected to feel more like a valued guest not just someone passing through. Next time I will consider other properties that better align with guest...
Read moreSo, we booked this as a no kids birthday trip for my husband and I - and at first impression - this hotel was amazing. The service, the ambiance - all 5 star. Then comes the hundred little things that make me say staying here is NOT worth it. First, we go to the pool, they refuse to seat us so we seat ourselves and they straight up say it might rain so we’re closing tabs. Ok. Fine. We go into the restaurant. Spoiler alert - it doesn’t rain. Then after staying the first night - the beds are so uncomfortable!! As are the pillows. For what we’re paying - the bathrooms are tiny. Next, whoever turned over our room didn’t leave the room service/room info folder - so we had to call the front desk where she essentially implied we didn’t look hard enough for the folder (we’d searched the room top to bottom). We finally get a menu and that’s all good. After finishing breakfast, we walk past house keeping and I ask them to please service our room as we are going out and plan to return in the afternoon. We also tell the front desk this exact same thing. We get back 5 hours later and nothing has been done. The food from room service this morning is still sitting there where we left it. Absolutely nothing. Ok. We call the front desk, they offer zero explanation or apology - saying the staff clean up until 5 pm. Um Ok? Then we ask the front desk to make reservations at in-house restaurant. They say they can’t help us. Really? What front desk can’t make restaurant reservations for it’s own guests? The absolute cherry on this disappointment sundae is the pool area. It’s a nice sunny hot day - we booked this hotel FOR THE POOL. Yet not a single person mentioned we needed reservations to sit at the pool. We go expecting to be able to sit, get a bite, enjoy the amenities (we’re only here 2 days/2 nights). The attendants are cold and unapologetically state they’re not seating anyone. Ok? There’s plenty of chairs? We sit in some and within 10 min are shooed away saying they’re reserved. Apparently the only way you can sit is to be sat by the attendants. My bad. So we post up at the edge of the pool and try to flag down a waiter. No such luck, so my husband has to go to the bar and wait for 15 min to put an order in. And the on menu drinks aren’t even yummy. Honestly so unimpressed with this place. If you are looking for a relaxing 4-5 star vacation experience - stay in Buckhead. ...
