H&F Burger — Restaurant in Atlanta

First off I'd love to share a photo of this delicious meal but unfortunately woofed it down before I could do that! LOL!

My Thoughts:

The Original - I had the original burger and I gotta say it was pretty excellently cooked. Burger wasn't too big or too small. For this spot on. The two patties were perfect. Not overcooked or undercooked. They had a very fresh flavor that was juicy & delicious with perfect texture. The burger patties paired well with the bun which was soft and flavorful. I only added lettuce and tomato and swapped out the mustard for mayonnaise. And thank goodness they used bread and butter pickles on this amazing sandwich and not dill pickles! Overall a great burger!

Beer Battered Onion Rings - I accompanied my burger with the Beer Battered Onion Rings. As good as the burger was (and it was good) I gotta say that the onion rings stole the show. Truly the perfect onion ring. With most onion rings you bite into them and either you pull the onion out of the breading or the breading falls off of the onion on the first bite. This onion ring had the perfect bite. The onion was tender enough that you could easily bite through it while the batter used was fried to perfection so that you could easily bite through without it falling apart. This is one of the rare occasions I could actually take multiple bites into an onion ring without it falling apart or pulling the onion out before I was finished. Again, perfection! Well done!

Service - The service very much suits the food. Very good! The staff was friendly and attentive.

Overall:

This is a great meal and a great choice for my lunch today. Highly recommend it! I'll have to try the Fried Apple Hand Pie...

I came and ordered the special shake of the month, burger, and fries. I asked for the burger with no pickle.

My shake came in a cute shake glass and quickly (under 5 minutes) the server came with my plate of food. As she was presenting it, I saw a pickle. I apologized and stated I ordered it with no pickle. The server took the plate back to the kitchen.

Less than a minute later, the server returned. I thought to myself that was mighty quick, but figured maybe the server had grabbed the wrong plate originally. I ate a fry off the plate and it was lukewarm, but nonetheless, I was excited to eat the burger so I cut it in half and then flipped the bun to add mayo.

There were pickle remnants on the burger. Instead of them making a new burger correctly, they just scooped off the pickles, while leaving pickle pieces behind.

I flagged down a different server and explained my issue and asked for the check. The original server brought the check to me. No one apologized or showed remorse and no one offered to make the remake burger fresh.

I’m quite disappointed as this place has rave reviews.

Also, after paying the check, I asked for a to-go cup so i could take my shake with me. Since I’d taken 3-4 sips total during my stay, I didn’t feel right not paying for it. As you can see from the photo attached, $10 is quite overpriced for the small amount of...

When my bf and I arrived we found 2 seats at the bar and as soon as we sat down, I’m assuming the lady was the manager said hi and gave us our menus and said our server would be right over and nodded in the direction of a younger girl. Except that’s not what happened. We watched our server take dirty dishes to the kitchen but never acknowledge us. Then she proceeded to make some waters, we thought they were for us, they weren’t. And take them to a couple behind us. Then it looked like she was ringing something in, then came back to our area, still never acknowledging us, and pour some wine and take them back to the other couple. By now my boyfriend is beyond irritated and the manager sent another server over to finally help us. He was a big guy with glasses. He was very friendly and apologized and promptly got us some waters. Finally after we got those our server decided to finally acknowledge us. At the end of our meal my bf called the guy over and gave him a $20 tip and thanked him for helping us and told him he was a restaurant manager as well and that the manager and him saved our experience by being friendly and acknowledging us.
