Parking is pretty difficult in this area during highly active times of the day. The grounds were re-done with walking paths, fountain, stadium-type seating and a concert mall, and updated playground all around the splash pad. Very culturally diverse, and also economic diversity among those who play and visit here. We've had horrid interactions with blatant racists who threatened to endanger our children, and encountered a man who was assaulted and had his cell phone stolen only minutes after he jogged past our family. It can be a lot of fun here, but be prepared for random interactions.

It's a great park but unfortunately it was closed when we went last time. The website said it was open but there was no water working on the splash pad. Many families with children were leaving disappointed. We also left disappointed. It's upsetting to have no other splash pad in the area and find it empty. It's even disrespectful to all of us. I hope whatever issues they have in the future that is mentioned in the website for all the reasons above.

The boys enjoyed themselves tremendously. And we had the whole place to ourselves. The playground activities were physically engaging for varying ages, unique and fun. However, this entire park needs a one over with a power washer it is exceedingly grimey/covered in mildew and a light layer of dry mud. The water park was an easy win of course.

Three stars because the playground is great and the scenery is great and the splash pad is a great CONCEPT. I was very excited when I discovered this playground and splash pad! I've brought children there a few times to frolic in the water... I stopped when I noticed a child, who seemingly had diarrhea, playing in the water. She would run back and forth to her dad, who was more interested in his socializing, showing him her 'dirty' behind to which he would reply 'uh oh! Go wash off!' and turn his back to continue his social hour. I sat in amazement, disbelief, and disgust! I wanted to believe that it wasn't happening. I rounded up my crew while keeping an eye on the other 'situation'. As I continued to watch, it was more and more prevalent that it was indeed body waste coming from the little girl's behind! That was the last time I visited for that year. I tried to give the splash pad another chance this year... maybe I'm traumatized, but it just seemed to have a bad odor in the splash area. We even got there early enough that we had to wait for the sprayers to come on! There should have been no reason for the water to have a stench that early. I'm not sure what the sanitation regulations are, but I don't see myself visiting this splash pad anymore. The playground is great, but I'll go elsewhere...

My son really loves this splash pad and playground. There is only street parking but if you don't mind parallel parking you can usually find a spot. The splash pad has a nice, kind of padded type floor so it's not just cement. There are plenty of benches and we always find a place to perch. One side of the area is nicely shaded and the other side is in the sun. The playground is just a few steps away from the splash pad and it's really great. Has a cool merry-go-round that's kind of shaped like a huge ball and swings that are like round discs. There aren't traditional swings but there are two play structures with slides and climbing areas. Lots of shady areas with benches to sit and watch the kids play. Bathrooms accessible from playground. There are also nice shady walking paths around the play area. Would recommend to...

Both attractive and useful in the summer heat, Splash Park can be found at the heart of Sugar Hill. It sits behind the grand edifice of Sugar Hill City Hall and The Bowl at Sugar Hill, a major outdoor music venue.

A long stretch of lawn leads towards a circle of hard surfacing which has a series of water jets hidden within it.

Its 50 of so jets rise and fall, shoot and dip to the delight of the city’s younger residents who can be found soaking themselves on summer days.

A great excuse to discover Sugar Hill whether you’re with children or not, Splash Park is sure to bring a smile...
