I love Veracruz but ordering tacos yesterday was a terrible experience for me and many others. Sadly this isn’t the first time I’ve experienced questionable customer service and unbearable wait times. We placed an order for 4 tacos at 12:15 and the ChowNow app said the wait time was 15 minutes so we got in the car to drive over and pick up our order. En route to Radio the order confirmation came through and said our order would be ready at 1:27pm, over an hour from when we ordered. We turned around and waited at home, wanting to cancel the order and get our money back but there was no way to cancel. I came back at 1:30 to pick up my order and was told it would be another 10 minutes because the shrimp “takes longer” 🤨🧐. Y’all need to figure this out. I feel super disappointed that you can’t get your orders complete in an hour and a half time frame. 4 tacos does not take that long no matter the influx of orders. I was patient but saw many angry customers bickering with the man announcing orders. Pleeeease improve this process. I don’t want to abandon this location but I’ll just say I don’t plan on coming back for a long time, especially when I went to Pueblo Viejo on a busy Saturday morning and had my order ready in 10 minutes. Read moreGreat atmosphere for getting to-go Mexican food with amazing spices and delicious taste.
Service is crowd dependent, tried this place 2-3 times and it was slow during peak weekend hours but fast the other couple of times.
Food is usually tasty, even vegetarian tacos are tasty and not just fajitas inside a tortilla.
Quesadillas are great too but the overall experience was kinda disappointing due to unreasonable prices.
1 taco and 1 quesadillas will cost you $25-30, even though the prices have increased everywhere but a quesadilla costing $15 and a single taco for $6-7 which is definitely not worth it. This is costlier than most Mexican restaurants in the area.
Food quality is okay for the cost and unfortunately there are no prices on the menu, which is put up on the truck.
You can usually find a parking spot behind radio coffee on the unpaved but free parking lot.
Seating spaces near the food truck can be limited but you usually find one easily or in a few min while waiting for your food.
There are some brisket and Thai food trucks adjoining this one, plus you can grab a drink in radio coffee.
Pets are allowed but summer time it gets too hot for dogs to be there. Water available for dogs outside...
Read moreAt Veracruz Tacos, I had an experience that speaks to the importance of balance and connection in how we serve others. I placed a simple order at 7:24 AM and ended up waiting outside for 24 minutes until 7:48 AM. While I understand the demands of juggling online orders, I couldn’t help but feel that in-person customers could be better prioritized.
From the perspective of Divine Unity principles, particularly Universal Connection and Cosmic Harmony, it’s essential to recognize the value of those who show up in person, bringing their energy into the space. These principles remind us that harmony in service isn’t just about efficiency but about connecting with the people right in front of us. By aligning the flow of service with this sense of balance and connection, Veracruz Tacos could create an even more welcoming and fulfilling experience for everyone.
In Austin, a place that values community and connection, integrating these principles could ensure that no customer—online or in-person—feels overlooked, and everyone leaves feeling valued.
Reflective Question: How can the team at Veracruz create a more balanced and connected experience for...
