Central Christian Church — Attraction in Austin

This church is stunning modeled on a 15 century Florence Church according to custodian Philip. It truly is a piece of spiritual history right in the heart of Austin and they continue to share the love of God and the way of Jesus even in this modern age, you could say it’s a modern day blast from the past. Pastor Lang’s words are a balm to the souls of those gathered and the choirs voices really lift the spirits. They also have a wonderful garden that is a pride and joy with occasional plant sales to help fund the church. There is real wisdom of the ages here. Amen! Amen! Amen!...

I attended this Church for only one Sunday when I was looking for a Church over a year ago. There was largely an older population that was very small and was at the time meeting in a small room on the side due to issues with the HVAC system. I would neither recommend this Church nor not recommend this Church. I primarily attended this Church for the Architectural aspect and was saddened that I was unable to view the Sanctuary due to their HVAC issues. I loved their traditional services held in such a beautiful and peaceful historical building. But do not feel intimidated! The vibe and message is “come as you are” and they mean it.
