Capitol Grill — Restaurant in Austin

I was disappointed by the high prices at this restaurant, which I felt were prohibitively expensive and out of reach for many people of lower income. I believe that food prices at places like the "people's house" should be more accessible, perhaps in the range of $3-$5, so that visitors to the Texas Capitol can learn about history, get involved in their democracy, and not feel regretful about the cost of simple nutrition. A solid dining experience each visit.

The food here is solid, and relatively varied. Specifically, there is a two-soup soup bar, a salad bar, a burger/sandwich area, coffee bar and a daily chef's special area.

The prices are always low, and the service is friendly and prompt.
