So I use to love ipic, I think it is a better then the normal Theaters, you get to relax and eat yummy food and drinks.
We go every few months as long as the movie was what we wanted to see and when a special movie our kids wanted to see, the sonic movies all 3 have only been with ipic of course.
So here is the problem, I usually get the tickets online, this time I went to ipic domain location to get the tickets, it wasnāt until THE next day that shocked me, it just hit me that I paid more getting them in person then online. I have been going to ipic for years and this was my first time getting them in person. I didnāt know they up those cost for in person purchases. Iām so pissed about this. They should disclose that.
I donāt know if Iām willing to go back, we have been fans for years and years.
So here is the second problem, the service was okay, not great like it was In the past, the waiter was nice HOWEVER they try to rush you and had an attitude helping you, like it was a burden to them.
The third problem was the quality of the food. I know how good the food can be, however this last time in December 2024 for the sonic movie 3, the food was not of high value, it tasted more like cheap food I can buy for myself. The food was not up to the standard.
When I go and take time to go to ipic I would hope to not ever feel this way, I would hope to feel like this is the best place to eat and enjoy myself.
If things change I will give an update.
So Sunday, 20 April, I came to see pride and prejudice. I thought Iād give ipic another chance so here it goes my husband and I ordered beef quesadillas so when you order a quesadilla is the standard price but when you add steak or chicken thatās a bigger price the chicken was a lot cheaper. Obviously the steak was very expensive. It was about another 10 on top of what the quesadilla cost. The quesadilla came out cold I thought it wouldāve been at least warm or hot. It was not. I got a Arnold Palmer, which is half tea half lemonade. It didnāt have much flavor. The popcorn was delicious. I got a small, which is plenty. What Iām more upset about is so when we first got there, my husband ordered an adult drink and they get your credit card which is fine. so he got three drinks. I got one non alcoholic drink and one meal, one small popcorn, then they put their own tip, which is fine, but I had cash to give him a tip, but I guess not So it in total was about 116 I was not expecting that much then they charged an extra penny to one of the food cause I looked at the menu. I donāt know why they charged an extra penny which is very odd. Our waitress was nice.
so overall the food is just overpriced and whatās really sad is The quesadilla was more like a snack size half lunch not a dinner but theyāre charging dinner prices.
After this I believe Iām not going back ever again. The food is just not worth it. If Iām gonna pay those prices, then Iād rather pay it at a nice restaurant.
I wanted to give it a second chance and to see if I dealt with the same thing again...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUpdating my review for 2025. Still in the more expensive end of the movie going experience, but I feel it's become better value and still the best quality. It's really best for a high end date night. I usually prefer Alamo Drafthouse, but as they've commercialized more over the years, I've grown to appreciate iPic much more. I prefer iPic for date night due to the exclusivity and food menu.
My main reason to update the review is iPic has my favorite food menu. It's on the pricier end ($10-$20), but the selection is much better and healthier than other dine in theaters. Many of the entree are served with vegetables instead of fries, which other theaters don't seem to do. The menu seems more chef curated and not just bar food. Their bar has good selection of mixed drinks, and acceptable, but not very broad selection of beer.
The seats are really nice, fully recline with foot rest. I'm 6'4" so normally recliners are worse then normal seats because my feet hang off the end and my head towers over the top so there is no head rest. Luckily these seats are tall in the back and the blanket they give you, which I use as a pilot, made the back work great. My feet still hung off the end with calves right on the edge which was a little discomforting but the chair was big enough that I could move around. I also didn't have waiters walking in from of us which I've had problems is tripping before with my legs sticking out from lesser recliners. My feet did hit the front lip of the booth, so if you are much taller you might not be able to recline, though you could probably still put your feet up in the front of the booth. Overall I liked the seats and are one of the reasons to justify the price. Update for 2025, the seats have aged a little bit and are showing some wear and creaks, so that may bother some expecting brand new seats.
The booth also sperates you from everyone around you so even if someone is texting it wispering in another booth, you would have no idea. You are really in your own section (another reason to justify the price).
The service has been hit out miss, I think because of a high turnover rate and such small audience.
Picture and sound are on par with other...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOverall, I enjoyed the movie experience but a few things, fixable or not, will make me think twice about returning.
The individual theaters are really nice. The seats are pretty comfortable. However, because I have bad knees, and did not want to deal with steps, I reserved a wheelchair accessible/companion seat. I was the only one present for this particular viewing so there were no conflicts in that regard. When the movie was over, though, I realized how low the seats are to the ground and it was a challenge for me to stand from the seat. The next time you go to a restroom in public, look at the accessible stall toilet and compare it to the non-accessible toilet. You will notice the accessible toilets are 2-3 inches taller. And that is why. So, my impression was that this was a design flaw.
The service was fine. Popcorn was really good. Prices for that and the iced tea were decent. And their tea is fresh brewed, served in really cold 20oz glasses. Came with a free refill. I'm a fan!
I used the Family Restroom for personal reasons. The one I used was dripping from the ceiling directly onto me why sitting on the toilet. It has been raining all day and evening so I was concerned there was a leak in the ceiling. I alerted the bartender.
Final FYI and kudos - I generally don't like high end anything, except cars. This place is nice! I had no expectations when it came to staff or service but every single staff member I interacted with from the moment I stepped inside, was very cordial and helpful. And not in a valet or concierge way, they were just friendly and helpful. And I really appreciated that!!!
If I can figure out a solution for seating in the theater, I would love to go back and make this my spot. Until then, Flix is tried and true.
EDIT: I've been back a few times. This is my new movie spot. Best fresh brewed tea around. If that changes, I can't go back. Lol I used the bathroom during my last visit and it was out of soap and the faucet was broken, hanging into the sink. Other than that, a...
