If joy had a zip code, it’d be located right here at the Liz Carpenter Splash Pad! Nestled in the heart of downtown Austin with a breathtaking view of Lady Bird Lake, this splash pad is where little feet dance and grown-ups remember how to smile. šŸ’¦ The Splash Pad: A perfect burst of summer fun enough jets to thrill the tiny adventurers, yet chill enough for cautious kiddos. It’s free, it’s refreshing, and it’s the Texas-sized antidote to the heat. 🚽 Restrooms: Clean. Like, ā€œyour grandma’s house before company comes overā€ clean. And that’s saying something. šŸ‘§šŸ¾šŸ§’šŸ¼ Kid-Approved: Safe, friendly, and filled with giggles. You’ll want to bring a towel, sunscreen, and maybe a snack because once the kids start, they won’t want to leave. šŸŒ… Scenic Bonus: With the city skyline behind you and the lake glistening in front, it’s one of those rare places that feels both fun and peaceful at the same time. Whether you're a local looking for a midweek cool-off or a visitor hoping to soak up some authentic Austin sunshine, Liz Carpenter Splash Pad is the splashy slice of happiness you didn’t know you needed. 10/10 would splash again! šŸ’§

If you got kids, this is an excellent park for them to play in. Lots of stuff to climb, crawl under, jump over, slide, ect. There’s a splash pad as well- it’s nice looking and simple, but nothing special. There’s also plenty of seating areas and shade, and swinging benches to relax on. Overall really nice and it’s kept clean, plus you got the beautiful Austin skyline in the background.

Liz Carpenter Splash Pad is a part of the Butler Metro Park in Austin. The splash pad fountain entertains people both day and night. Kids love this place. Beside the Splash pad there are seating arrangements to keep an eye to our little ones. At night the fountain performs a colorful light show. Sometimes the splash pad is closed for maintenance. Luckily when we visited, it was open.

This place is really fun we been coming here for years I know the lights are not working and it look like it was all closed off on the doughtry art side we were able to find a parking on the river side parking and we walked up around the hill and we were able to get in my kids got their feet wet it was already starting to get dark andOnce it was dark we started seeing rats popping out from underneath where the trees are the gutters and they were popping out may be 10 in less than 10 minutes coming from the trash to go feed their family and then do it all over again so we saw 10 rats in less than 10 minutes and I had no idea there were so many rats in this area but I guess that’s what happens at night time anywhere right anyways don’t be discouraged by the rats during the day I’ve never seen them before it’s actually quite a nice place to sit and put a blanket and have a picnic and the kids always have a good time just make sure there’s no running because I’ve seen people hit their headsļæ¼ PS are used talk to text so sorry Where they run on sentence and miss spelling but you...

It used to be a great spot. Now, it's just another trashed out homeless hangout. We went hoping that maybe they had finally fixed the light show, nope, now even fewer fountains working than before. The ones that do work only have about half the water pressure needed. If you don't mind watching the homeless take baths in it and camp out in the bathroom or, all the condom wrappers and dope baggies, it's probably a great spot for your kids. Chances are pretty slim that we'll fight for another scarce parking spot just to suffer through the...
