Five Below — Attraction in Avondale

I came in with my mom and brother the other day and really needed to use the restroom, I walked into the area where the restroom was and saw a big "OUT OF ORDER" sign on the door but i notice it's a family bathroom and see two doors not to far on the right and quickly check assuming it would be a men and women's restroom. noticing the doors led to the back area of the store i turn back and before i could even walk out one of the im assuming managers comes storming in and RUDELY says "are you an employee? only employees are allowed back there" i get confused hence i was only in that area for a max of 7 seconds and didn't even remotely try to enter, yet i reply no and stated I was just looking for a bathroom available. then he proceeds to say "the only bathroom we have available to customers is that one but it's out of order" as if i didn't clearly just state how i knew that. i tried my best to contain myself by the way this stranger was talking to me and just left the conversation but soon realized the only reason he went back there was to act suspicious of me and treat me like i'm 12 and trying to steal $2 lipglosses then walked back out once i did. I had a terrible experience I wish I could give no stars! I left at 6:55 pm (saying that so owners/managers can know the shift) one of the workers told my partner who is disabled that he couldn’t sit in a seat (the worker said it in a super rude way which was extremely unnecessary) when it was open and out but then she turned around and got a chair and sat in it to fold clothes. Multiple items were damaged, gross and out. I then went to pay for my items and was told it was store policy to ring up customers when I said I didn’t want to be helped, and I thought hey that’s fine ig but then I realized that no one else was being checked out and even my boyfriend had checkout by himself without help no problem. I asked her why she needs to check me out and she said so “she can make sure everyone pays for their items” and then I asked why no one else was being check out and she said she can see them checking out, which is ridiculous because she can see me from the front area. I wish the workers spent more time cleaning and stocking shelves than being rude and racist. I will never come back to this location and I’m disgusted to have had this experience that has never happened to me before such...

This was the most dirtiest races place to go I enjoy taking my kids to five below at the end of a long hard day I like to bring them here because they work so hard but today was the last day for us ever going to I have never felt so first we were followed all around the store second everyone else were allowed to check out by themselves I myself and my children exported to the register to be checked out by the cashier not to mention he had to check every bill that I, the floors were nasty the shells for just Fairway empty boxes with junk in it just sitting around I find it very disturbing that some of us actually work really hard for our money and we come to establishments like these to be treated so unfairly especially in times like we are in, I will not be coming back to another five below until they train their employees on how to treat customers like this and for my children to have to witness it and me having to explain to them on how life really is 😢 but true.
