I called a HVAC specialist and asked how to add freon to my refrigerator. He sent me a link to a video on YouTube and told me there are a few parts that I need. The link to the parts are in the description of the video. I need a bullet piercing valve which I found, I need 134a freon which is the same that fits my car and I have it, I need a quick connect hose with a pressure gauge which I already have and lastly I need a low port side retrofit valve. I do not have this so I was driving all around town trying to find a place that has one, every place that I have been to knew what it was but told me they did not have one.
This is where the story gets juicy. I walked into Masterson's Appliance and the gentleman at the desk asked if he could help me. I showed him the port then I showed him the bullet valve and he wasn't sure if they carried it or not. The other gentleman said that's not what you need those two parts don't go together. He said rudely "the part you're showing me is an automotive part". I said it is similar but it is not an automotive part. He told me those don't go together and the part I was looking for will not fit the bullet piercing valve. I said sir I just got off the phone with an HVAC professional and he guided me to these parts and told me this is exactly what I need. He said no he's wrong those aren't the parts they're not going to work. I said okay fine whatever and walked out. Funny how one person says they're not going to work when the other six people I spoke to in the stores today knew exactly what I needed but just didn't carry the part. I called the HVAC professional and I asked if he was sure that this is what I needed because I was told otherwise. He said he has been doing HVAC work for 40 years and he guarantees this is what I need or he will come fix my refrigerator for free.
So I guess the pictures say it all then huh Mr....

From the moment we entered the business we were met with smiles and , “How can we help you?” This is a wonderful family owned business. They are so knowledgeable about all their appliances. They never pressured us at all and took all the time we needed. We just learned of Masterson’s Appliance about a month ago. Read moreWe visited Masterson’s on 9-5-2024 to see if they had a washer and dryer to fit our needs. Masterson’ was recommended to us by our plumber John West. Our purchase experience was great. Stephanie was very friendly, very professional, and very helpful to show us the various models and features to help make a decision. They had a wide variety to choose from which is a plus. We highly recommend this business. I always attempt to buy from local businesses when possible. We were very happy with our purchase decision. Thanks for the great service.
