Terra Nossa Brazilian Grill Cape Cod Mall — Attraction in Barnstable

So I’ve eaten here several times and each time has been different. I won’t let my hunger level have be bias towards my overall experience but be as honest as I can. Sometimes, everything is spot on, the meat is cooked perfect, potato salad is not hard, sausage is juicy and fresh with each bite, rice and black beans on point without too much salt added, portions are huge. Then sometimes you order and the sausage is dry, picanha is beyond cooked and brisket with 80% fat meat ratio. I love rendered and marbled fat but a huge chunk of it I can’t put down the hatch. Anyway, it comes down I think to when you come, if you come or order delivery on off hours the food will be half good half possibly inedible. If you order when the meat is at optimal temperature and cooking time of course it will taste insanely good which Terra definitely does, I’ve eaten at their Providence location too. No meat will taste good when it’s on the rotisserie for too long. Then finally, portion size, sometimes you get people that are pretty light handed with even the rice and beans, I’ll order a meal with extra meat and sides and be barely full. Then there is like today for instance, my man went the whole nine yards and the container could barely close he put so much and fed my wife I and two kids. Employees are always nice tho as Brazilians are, very friendly fun loving people from my experience. 4 1/2 stars if it even matters to the reader, salt level could be tiny bit less and meats could be fresher but like I said usually that comes down to what times you order. I would frequently grab food at this vendor in the mall because it was always delicious and on point, but my last two visits there left me extremely disappointed and have kept me from returning. I would like to say this is mostly from some newer staff members working there that I didn't recognize, but I am going to say that they need to be properly trained so they can recognize meat preferences and also should not be preparing meat in anyway if they are unable to determine what different cooking preference for meats are. My last two visits when requesting medium for my steak, I have been given the toughest overcooked meat that I ended up just eating my side and threw out the rest. It was soo dry and I felt like I was chewing leather; it was impossible to cut and there was no way to try to fix it as is. Ive always enjoyed the staff and have always tipped graciously, but the newer staff members are definitely going to destroy their reputation as one of the best Brazilian grill style restaurants that we have on this side of the bridge. Had lunch today at Terra Nossa Brazilian Grill at the Cape Cod Mall. I had the Terra Nossa classic burger and it was phenomenal. The sausage was a perfect flavor combo with the burger, and both patties were tender enough that you didn’t get anything pulling out of the burger when you bit into it. Caramelized onions and the crunchy potato sticks complimented the burger sauce and added a nice crunch to the burger.
