Batavia Animal Clinic — Attraction in Batavia Township

We're super excited that we chose Batavia Animal Clinic. Our girl, Tilly, needed help with her ears, something terrible. When I called to make the appointment in the afternoon of 8.22.18, we were able to get in the very next day. Dr. Magnuson did a thorough examination, all while snuggling and loving on Till- which made her super comfortable and excited to be there. They cleaned her ears and gave us both options for treatment, and sent her home with a steriod to help her inflammation with a promise to call and check on her. We sincerely appreciate Dr. Magnuson's handling and care for our pup. We will happily use them in the future. Side note: The receptionist this evening was a hair under friendly, maybe it's not the norm, and I cannot hardly dock any stars for it. Things happen. A little advice would be not to assume that any form of payment is being used for a particular reason, i.e. payment plan. I dont often need to use our care credit, but have it for emergency/dental situations and if I have a chance to run it for a small payment and keep it active, then I do. Obviously, when you let zero balance cards stay zero for too long, the close your account. Regardless, it is my business as to why I'm using it and had to raise my eyebrow to the fact that she thought I was looking for a zero percent, 6mo payment deal. The Batavia Animal Clinic is nothing but sweet, professional and kind to their clients, and their clients human companions. During the pandemic we adopted a new pet and needed to have her checked out. During this trying time the staff implemented a process to ensure the safety of their clients and their staff that was flawless. Each pet was taken into the office promptly while maintaining social distancing. I walked back to my car and spoke with the doctor over the phone. I have never felt rushed during our appointments and the staff is always willing to give our pets ear scratches and treats. They answer calls and emails about any questions I may have and are 100% transparent about pricing for each treatment your pet may need. This is our second beloved pet Dr. Schanding has treated, and he and his office make Batavia a better place to live in because of their wonderful office. We have followed Dr. Magnuson to Batavia Animal Clinic. The reason we have followed her is she is fantastic with our 2 rescue dogs. They absolutely love her. Dr. Magnuson is both wonderful and clearly loving and caring of all animals, she is a very thorough and astute vet. Our one rescue was an abused dog. He has been with us 4 years now and he is much much better with strangers than he was when he first came to live with us. He greets Dr. Magnuson like an old friend. He puts a paw on each of her shoulders and showers her with kisses. Dr. Magnuson can pretty much do anything to Bentley that she needs to without Bentley reacting, except for putting a scope in his ears. I was disappointed when Dr. Magnuson decided to move to Batavia but I understand why she did. We live in Naperville literally walking distance to where Dr. Magnuson used to practice. But, we now drive 30 minutes to go see her for both our dogs non emergency visits. There are a lot of wonderful loving caring vets out there but I doubt you will find one as good as...
