Visited here on the 6th of May due to seeing it on tiktok but its just average food overhyped by tourists yet again. I did enjoy it more than my parter did though. I tried to order the viking coffee and was asked for my ID which I handed over, it wasn’t accepted as I’m not a US citizen, which was okay but she examined it for so long which was strange as if she was looking for a fault.. then kept asking was I british when ever my partner had answered and said were Irish, (maybe she didnt hear or understand, im not sure) she then said I needed my passport along side the ID I provided (which is a disney policy we didn’t know about as it hadn’t been a problem until now) so my partner simply asked why as we didn’t know and said its been accepted before and another staff member was just explaining the strict disney policy but while she was, a male staff member mumbled whatever he felt the need to say to the staff member who rejected the ID and she had to make it obvious that he was so hilarious by laughing out loud at what ever he said. Plus I’m pretty sure youd never be able to challenge these people as they could very easily have you escorted out of the parks. A little later on we went to the Japan area and were greeted with a smile, the lady came out from behind the counter to hand me my pint and I was thanked for my custom and even if the server from japan did make a remark after serving me (hypothetically) at least I didn’t hear it which the staff member here purposely intended to do.
Ive only scored it 2 because 1 staff member complimented my shirt and I did eat what I bought meaning it...
Read moreWe visited here for breakfast and some sweets! And the choices were pretty good, with all sorts of baked goods and desserts! Yes, I did want to try them all. No, I didn’t have enough room in my stomach for them...
They had a nice outdoor seating the back, fully covered to protect you from the Sun or the rain. The first item we got was School Bread. It was fluffy and sweet, but not overly sweet. The coconut was nice and fresh, and it was a pretty good, solid item.
Second item was Berry Cream Puff, just because I love cream puff… I know, I should have gotten something more “Norwegian” like Viking Chocolate Mousse or Kringla or Troll Horn… But I was hungry and I was weak… At least this cream puff was amazing!!! It had a nice amount of fresh berries, cuddling a loads of fresh whipped cream with vanilla beans. So good!!!
We also got Salmon and Egg Bagel. It looked better than I expected, although I wish if it had more smoked salmon… Everything was fresh, with ripe tomato, crisp onion, nicely cooked hard-boiled egg, and yes, salmon. It was...
Read moreDuring our adventure in Epcot, we stopped here for some Nordic-styled treats. It was super hard to come to a decision since everything looked so delicious and the display cases were brimming with desserts!
I settled on their Eplekake, which is a traditional Norwegian apple cake dessert. It had a generous drizzle of caramel on top and lots of caramelized sugar. Since this was during the Epcot Food & Wine Festival, we were given two Remy spoons to eat it with.
It was absolutely rich and delicious! The apple taste was super prominent and fresh, and it was crispy and piping hot. The café itself is beautifully furnished and makes you feel like you just arrived in Norway.
The Cast Members here were so kind and helped me decide on a dessert! I definitely recommend to stop by this place in Epcot for some quantity Nordic and...
