It's really disappointing.
We had been here on our first visit to epcot in 2019, and we really enjoyed it then, but unfortunately, this time, it was a big letdown.
The starters were ok. I liked mine, but others were disappointed. The tacos I had were not good they put some weird sauce or flavouring in and it tasted really artificial, sour, and bland just not good at all, the tortillas were stale and I just couldn't eat it as I felt sick with what they had done to it. I am really surprised with how much they had gone downhill, as before it was really good, so I don't know what went wrong.
Next was the service, and it was shocking, for disney, where normally the cast members are really nice, this was rubbish. The waiters were rude trying to rush us, we hadn't even finished our starters and they brought the main out, they didn't know what to do and left it on a silly stand in the dining room until the manager had to save the clueless waiters, and brought it back to the kitchen, where no doubt it was just shuved under a hot lamp as it was stale and cold on the inside. We weren't even taking that long, I thought, as every other restaurant was able to get our entrées out on time. The service should definitely be looked at as the kitchen and dining room need to be in sync.
And then to top it of, was the price, $400 for 4 people and no alcohol, even for disney I think that is steep, and especially for how poor the food was and it is just 3 tacos that probably costs then $2 to make. And no, that wasn't it. We even had a 20% or something stupid service fee for horrible service, and then you have to tip on that, what a rip off !
I would not recommend anyone to even step foot in here if you don't want to be disappointed as it was one of the worst meals ever.
Disney should be...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. The meal was a captivating journey through authentic Mexican cuisine, each bite transporting me directly to the heart of Mexico's culinary culture.
The food was, without question, magnificent. Each dish was a masterpiece of flavors and textures, perfectly seasoned and exquisitely prepared. Whether it was the vibrant salsa that danced on the tongue or the heartwarming comfort of the perfectly cooked mains, every item I tasted was a testament to the chef's skill and attention to detail. It's clear they truly honor their culinary roots while adding a unique flair to each dish.
But a great meal isn't just about the food, is it? It's also about the ambiance, the service, and the people who make it all come together. And in this case, the waiter was truly a standout. His warm and friendly demeanor made us feel immediately at home, and his deep knowledge of the menu helped guide our gastronomic adventure. He was more than a server; he was a curator of our dining experience, pairing dishes with stories and making excellent recommendations based on our preferences.
The restaurant's atmosphere was equally enchanting. It encapsulated the essence of Mexico with tasteful decor, vibrant colors, and a warmth that invites you in and makes you want to linger long after your meal is over.
In conclusion, my visit to this restaurant was an unforgettable culinary delight. The sumptuous food, the knowledgeable and friendly service, the inviting ambiance—all these elements combined to create a dining experience that was truly in a league of its own. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a memorable taste of authentic Mexican cuisine. I can't wait for...
Read moreI am writing a review as we were outraged when dining at the La Hacienda, the server suggested we had the “Parillada” a dish as she stated was wonderful and would serve 2 people for $64 dollars; what you see in the google photos is what this dish used to be.. at least 7-8 med shrimps plus 4 scallops and a nice piece of fish dressed with green salsa; now post covid Disney is cutting every possible corner to save on costs and they literally served us 2 full cans of corn in the middle of a large platter with 4 med shrimps on one side and 4 small scallops on the other side and a small piece of dry fish .. and no salsa dressing... all that for a bargain of $64 dollars!! so now Disney rips off guests to do better on the stock market or they are just simply trying to recover their losses post covid shut down at the cost of their guests around the world; when we talked to the server she said “im sorry” portions used to be better sizes and yes we used to serve more pieces of seafood but management has cut down portions... (not prices), she even gave us some other examples like the shrimp tacos dish used to serve 4 tacos and now has been cut down to only “3” tacos and so on... then we asked to see the manager, and he approached the table with a very unpleasant demeanor, he seemed pretty unhappy or probably just overwhelmed/overworked or both and he says to us “it is what it is; I don’t set prices for our dishes “Disney” does!”and walked away... so he is not Disney or at minimum representing Disney brand”. So for you executive managers at Disney take a step back and just be reasonable.. charging guests $64 dollars for a dish with 4 pieces of med shrimp and 4 small scallops swimming in bed of corn is...
