I was scheduled for an appointment at 12:00, and showed up 3 minutes late. They pointed me to a seat, which I took and waited in for 23 minutes. Once I was finally being helped, I showed Lisa the design I wanted, she told me it was going to be way too expensive for a gel manicure ($90). I showed an alternate design, which was pegged as a basic gel manicure, and I was quoted ($40). I told her to go ahead, and she went ahead and did it. She even graciously changed my base color for me twice until it was similar to the picture that we chose. Things were going well until she showed me my completed hand, I immediately asked her to take off the design part and just keep the solid color. She told me that it was not possible to undo it and I said okay and sat through the second hand. I said thank you and went to pay and my bill came to $80 because of the design. At this point I was too emotional to argue because I had a special event to be at and my nails looked awful at this point. I paid, tipped and left, only to realize that for $10 more, if the tech was honest and clear I could’ve had the exact nails that I wanted. I am extremely disappointed in the lack of communication and professionalism but they did do a wonderful job at prepping the nailbed and she did try in the beginning to work with me on getting a color that I liked.
UPDATE: I called in today to follow up on the previous message left by them. I was told that I should have come in within 4 days maximum. In the message left on reviews as well as instagram, it seemed as though they would be willing to do anything to fix the situation at anytime, especially since I was out of town by the time I received their offer. My nails were done a day before my birthday party and a few days before my trip. Not only did I already have to stick with these nails for those events, but also, I figured since I had stuck it out, I could get them done when I needed to next. $80 is a lot of money to waste on nails that you don’t like, they had the opportunity to rectify the situation but they instead tried to short cut...
Read moreAbsolutely loved it. Enjoyed every moment there from the time I walked in the door. I went there with my mother in law and 9 month old who was more or less pretty well behaved while she sat in the stroller.
The girl who seemed the youngest of the 5 workers there did my French tip shellac nails and an older woman who only spoke a little English, did my pedicure. The younger girl who did my manicure was kind and didn't mind fixing any problems I pointed out, and the older woman gave a nice gentle massage on my legs.
Usually I'm pretty hesitant and sketched out when I go to get my nails done because the people usually seem distant due to the cultural differences and language but the atmosphere there was very pretty casual, relaxing, and inviting. The staff was very kind and welcoming. The building and restroom was very nice and clean, with tasteful decor and nice furniture.
The massage chairs were very nice and a good quality. I'm pretty short (4'11")so when I use those types of chairs I'm usually too short for them to work well on me and never get a good massage out of them. But these chairs were just short enough for me and it felt great. Plus, if you know how some chairs can feel too rough or too soft no matter the setting, to me, these felt just right.
While I waited for my M-I-L to get done with her nails, they offered us drinks(water or soda) from a tray which surprised me and was so nice. And while we were leaving it was raining very hard so my M-I-L went to fetch the car while I waited out side under the roof. Not a minute later one of the women rushes me to come back inside while I waited. Very pleased over all with my experience and despite their prices being a little more expensive, it was totally worth it and I will definitely recommend them to everyone I know and be back...
Read moreI went to get a gel manicure and as they were clipping off my hangnails, my nail tech took a significant chunk out of my finger. After about 10 min of unsuccessfully trying to get it to stop bleeding, they put a cotton ball soaked in what appeared to be antiseptic over the wound and continued to paint over the blood. They then put a bandaid on it, charged me full price, and sent me on my way. I ended up going back in because a lot of gel got on my finger tips and needed to be trimmed back, and someone who appeared to be the owner helped me out. They peeled back the polish on my wounded finger because it clearly had blood underneath it and began trying to stop the bleeding once again. When they were unsuccessful in getting the bleeding to stop a second time, they too began to paint over it. I asked them to please not put polish on that nail because it was so close to an open wound, and kindly requested a refund. After about ten minutes of unsuccessfully fiddling with the computer and my debit card, they had me write down my phone number and leave having paid full price. I typically don’t like leaving negative reviews because mistakes do happen, which is why it is incredibly important to be prepared to handle any mishaps in a professional manner. This establishment could really benefit from incorporating a functioning refund process and solidifying protocol for instances of profuse bleeding in order to prevent this from happening again.
Update- the owner was very kind and reached out to me with a full refund. It’s not often that people go out of there way to make up for mistakes like this, so I really...
