Jack’s is the most urbane boîte in Bellingham. It would not be out of place in Paris near Rue Oberkampf or along the Canal St. Martin. Finding a cocktail lounge with this caché in Bellingham is mind boggling. Seattle tries with Roquette and maybe Rob Roy in Belltown, but there’s an air of pretentious freeze that comes naturally to Seattle. Jack’s has the panache without the affectation. Only The Tear Drop Lounge in Portland mirrors what Jack’s has, and The Tear Drop is world famous. Needless to say we have No Intentions of...

The whiskey selection is outstanding and if that isn't your thing there were plenty of other liquors and even frozé and frozen daiquiris. We went in specifically to try the Doc Swinson's bourbon and loved it so much we went out and bought a bottle that night. The service from the bartenders was fantastic (thanks Chaiya and Dennis!) and sadly we're just passing through the area but if we lived in Bellingham this would be...
