I contacted Mak at Suit Bar for a custom tuxedo for my wedding. We met at his shop in Birmingham where he walked me through my options. The consultation was thoughtful, friendly and relaxed. I liked the style, pricing and timing he offered and so I decided to go for it.

As the wedding day approached, Mak and I exchanged texts to make sure everything was on track. Given the global complications of Covid, there was a delay expected in receiving the suit as the fabric comes from Italy.

Like anyone, this potential day was concerning. No matter though. Mak went above and beyond to make sure I had a suit for the wedding day.

To start, he immediately tailored me a back up tuxedo. It looked and fit great. And a few days before the wedding, he personally drove to the USPS shipping distribution center (Allen Park I believe) to get the custom suit, instead of waiting for it to show up at the shop for the final touches.

Crisis averted. He had my custom suit to me, fitting perfect, days before the wedding. And as back up, I had the second suit he made. He went above and beyond to make sure I looked great at my wedding

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing outstanding customer service from Mak at Suit Bar. While in town for a wedding, I realized I had forgotten my tuxedo shirt studs. Panic set in as I was on a tight schedule. I called Suit Bar in a last-minute scramble, and that's when Mak turned my day around.

Despite being moments away from closing, Mak understood my predicament and generously offered to provide the studs at no cost. He went a step further and arranged to leave them at the restaurant downstairs, ensuring I wouldn't lose any more time. Thanks to Mak's exceptional kindness I was able to attend the wedding on time and looking my best.

So interestingly enough my first time here I made a random appointment same day later in the evening and a little bit before it was time Mak calls me and says hey can we move it back a bit. Which didn’t upset me and worked and it sounded urgent enough but we were in no rush… Well we go at the new time and he explained that one of the guys for a wedding party left his suit and got on a plane without it. He left to go send and overnight another suit to his client and that’s why he had to move my appointment time back a little bit. Mak might not know it, but that was the day he became ‘The Guy’ in my book.
