The Ancient and Honorable Artillery Company is the oldest military organisation in the United States having received charter in 1638. They have a free museum which occupies the top floor meeting hall and adjacent smaller rooms at Faneuil Market building on Congress Street. Opening Hours are 9am to 3pm (Monday to Friday), closed on weekends. Here you can find quite a few historical member portraits, historical paintings, military arms, badges and other military and war items. I enjoyed seeing cannon balls recovered from Bunker Hill. Overall, a neat place to stop if you intend to visit and spend time at Faneuil Market as part of your sightseeing of the Freedom Trail attractions. Those with a particular interest in military history will enjoy spending some time here.

The oldest operating military company in the Western Hemisphere. Historically, the Company has members whom have served in every Massachusetts colonial war and national conflict since the company's founding in 1638. The Company's motto is Facta Non Verba means Deeds Not Words. The company is really patriotic gem. This organization showcases some fantastic artifacts, art, objects found through their hallow hall. They have a great exhibit on member JFK. They do tours 11 -3 (check dates and times). There is an evaluator or steps to walk up. The company is located in Fanuiel Hall in Boston.

Interesting museum/collection on the 4th floor of Faneuil Hall. The military buffs visiting with me were more impressed than I was, but there is certainly plenty to see and it is impressive that this collection is open to the public without any public funding. I would suggest that it could be structured and labelled in a way that provides more clarity for visitors, but is worth a stop nonetheless.
