After going to plenty of Sephora stores around the Boston area, including the one on Newbury St. and the one in Braintree's South Shore Plaza, I can honestly say this Sephora was H-O-R-R-I-B-L-E. Firstly, I had a makeup appt. (focus feature for 30 mins). I arrived early, and waited for a makeup artist. The manager was very aware as we made contact that I was early and waiting for someone. Time passed by, 11 minutes and still no one to assist me.
Once I got someone to assist me named, Julianna, She was very very very rude. Ruined my morning. her first question was, what kind of look would you like, I said natural, and she insisted to say, I need to have a picture, " you cant just come here without a picture, and ask for a natural look." So I googled a random picture of a woman with "natural makeup." Then she went on to say every time I do my makeup I should have a picture, but I am sorry, I have done my makeup over 50x by professionals and I have never been treated like that. Professionals know what they are doing and if they need a pic they ask in a professional manner not in a very rude way.
Then she had an attitude the entire time, after doing my eye makeup for 12 minutes she said she was done with a bad attitude straight face (looked like she wanted to punch me), and that's what I booked, she didn't assist me with anything else, and was being a total B*t.... So i said can someone cover this pimple with a concealer for me please and she was like no, I cannot, and she called a random employee to come do it. So another employee came to assist me she was nice, and I was explaining my experience to her. It seems like she was used to people complaining about the female manager and Juliana, I went to check out and asked for the manager, and an employee told to specifically contact John, because he runs the show there on the weekdays and will take me more serious than the female manager that was working today. I completely understand the service, but there is no need to be so unprofessional overall. If no means no, no need to be angry.
I will NEVER walk into this Sephora again.
First off , it's not right to pay for 30 min service and only get 15 out of it. It's not right to be seen late when on time, especially with an attitude. I am completely disgusted!
From my experience with the other Sephora's everyone was very pleasant at the Sephora in Back Bay and South Shore plaza and did a great job in helping me. Even if i signed up for a focus feature they wouldnt mind doing a lip color for me.
Also, I feel like I was being followed while waiting for my makeup, why, I don't know maybe because the way I looked , I feel bad for the nice employees who work there that have to deal with the lady manager and employees like Julianna.
Tomorrow, Monday November 7th, I plan on...
Read moreI was visiting from Palm Beach and had a Halloween party to go to. On a whim, I decided to make an appointment to have my make up done at Sephora. Jen V was my assigned make up specialist, and when we started, I felt like I had made a colossal mistake. I had a Morticia, Addams costume, and I needed appropriate make up. Jen continue to work, and I felt like I may have to go home and wash off my face. This is where, trusting the process becomes fundamental.
I honestly cannot say enough about Jenâs work. an hour later, my face looked absolutely fantastic! The colors she picked, the blended foundation, the gorgeous eyes⌠Absolute perfection, and I couldnât be happier. I received a lot of compliments at the party, but at the end of the night, when I did not want to wash my face, that was the ultimate compliment to Jenâs work. I looked absolutely amazing,...
Read moreAwful customer service. The one guy who helped me was friendly and nice, but the store was closing (in 6 minutes) and I was still browsing. 4 employees came over to remind me they were closing the tills as if I didnât hear the first few and canât tell time. I worked in customer service for many years and we kept our store open until closing time. If someone walked in before the doors closed we still served them. THEN you lock the doors and close the till. I ended up putting the items I had back because clearly they cared more about going home than making a sale. I let them know on the way out how their attitude deterred me from purchasing and they didnât care đ hopefully the manager sees this (or maybe the manager was one of the rude...
