Overall, I have to give my experience a 2 due to some of the miscommunications and mishaps that occurred during my Chemical peel. On the day of my evaluation, my aesthetician seemed very knowledgeable, gave me recommendations for how to better my skin, and which peel she thought would benefit my skin the most. It was such a great experience I immediately booked an IV Chemical peel for the following day; however, after following her instructions to a T, the morning of the third day of my peel when I was instructed to put on on sunscreen, my skin started to burn and turn red after applying it.The pain was so bad that it felt as if I had a sunburn on my face by the time I had gone into the office that afternoon I was on the verge of tears from how much my face was hurting around my mouth. I immediately called their office first thing when they opened, and was able to see another aesthetician that day who was able to help resolve the redness and burning, but gave me directions on how to care for my skin as it healed that were different from what the initial aesthetician who had done the procedure had told me. Due to the miscommunication and being provided different information, I did further research and confirmed that the second aesthetician I had seen was correct and that I shouldnât have left my face bare bone dry, without no moisturization during the peeling process and that was probably why my face had become Orestes from applying the sunscreen. I immediately started using Aquaphor as the second aesthetician had applied it to my face in the office and it helped alleviate the pain and the burning and overall after that I had an okay peel experience. I had no further issues with the peel on my face moving forward however, on day 6 I noticed my earlobes started peeling which made no sense to me as to why the peel wouldâve been applied there; not only that, but the peel had been applied across my hairline and it is still currently peeling even though it has been more than seven days and now my hairline is sensitive to the touch and the peeling skin is getting caught in my hair. Even though the second aesthetician was able to rectify some of the issues that occurred overall, I do not feel comfortable going back and having anything done to my face given my experience. Overall the peel did wonders to my face and my dark spots, but given what I went through I would prefer to go somewhere else to get a peel...
Read moreI went in for a repeat injection with a different staff member. I asked for the same thing I received last time and that is not what I was given. There was a documentation error which caused the new injector to do the âstandard injection areasâ even though that is not what I received before yet the owner did not believe me when I went in for a follow up. It is in the crows feet where I wanted injections and injecting too low gives you an eye shelf that makes your smile messed up. This is pretty common knowledge in this practice but as a newer patient to this treatment I did not know this until I researched after getting horrible results. My results the first time were great. When I went in for the second time I noticed the injection site was in a slightly lower spot under my eye than last time but didnât question at the time. The current staff is not educated on what is best for the individual. They will inject the standard even if that is not what is right for you. When I was dissatisfied with my injections and the results of how my face looked the owner told me to just wait till it wears off. She kept expressing she wants me to be happy but kept telling me it looked good in her office light and wouldnât take into account any of the photos I wanted to show her. She had no resolution but to wait it out. This takes months. After throwing a fit they finally gave me a refund but did not fix the dissatisfaction of my face. I went in two separate times for a follow up and itâs not cheap to park or get down to that area so I expressed that I donât care to come in again if all they are going to do is tell me sorry I just have to wait it out. And thatâs exactly what happened. Took more time off from work and an additional 40$ to get down to their office. I recommend going anywhere else before stepping foot in this practice. The owner does not know how to run her practice when mistakes are made which seems to happen more often than not. After my research and speaking to her it seems that she could use some...
Read moreI recently visited a clinic for Jaw Botox treatment targeting TMJ, teeth grinding, and facial contouring. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the experience. The injection process did not target the deeper skeletal muscles (masseter muscle) as expected but rather focused solely on the superficial facial muscles. Normally, it is injected deep into the lower part of the masseter muscle (about 5 cm needle), and at the moment it is injected, there should be a sensation of liquid spreading around the back teeth, but I did not feel anything. This approach did not deliver the desired results, and I did not experience the typical sensations associated with a deep masseter muscle injection.
I was in disbelief because they took away the mirror I was holding in my hand at the moment of the shot and did not show me the procedure, so I did not know what was shot, how deep the needle was, or if it was diluted. As a result, I felt no change whatsoever. This lack of transparency left me feeling uncertain about the treatment's efficacy. The clinic's marketing implied expertise in Jaw Botox, but the actual procedure did not align with these claims, leading to a sense of misrepresentation.
While many clinics offer Botox for facial wrinkles, specialized Jaw Botox treatments targeting deeper muscles are less common. I had high expectations due to the clinic's advertised specialization, but the outcome fell short. if they only do Jaw for facial muscles, I wish they would not claim to do Jaw Botox. I thought it was very misleading marketing. I will continue to look for a clinic that provides comprehensive Jaw Botox treatment with a focus on targeting the masseter muscle...
