Summer cruise series 7/18/25. Could have been really fun. My friends and I boarded the ship and it was great, maybe about 2 mins before the boat was about to leave a security personnel came up to me specifically out of everyone in my group and asked me to "get off the ship", as confused as I was I asked what was wrong and this man said I was "stumbling" and accused me off being heavily intoxicated when I was visibly fully sober I had a single drink all night which was purchased on the boat, made by the bartender, which i purchased when I boarded the boat! not that it matters but this drink was shared with multiple of my friends; didn't even have a full drink myself. Upon requesting to get breathalyzed multiple times I was denied every time. Two of my 10 friends that were on the boat came off with me. There were other two officers there as well once I got off the boat, and they all seemed apologetic and all three of us were refunded our money. The man that refunded us was a very kind gentlemen. Fast forward to when the boat returned to the dock almost 3 hours later I went to speak with the security personnel in question, his response was very much egocentric he basically said "we can do whatever we want" and "whatever we do is up to our discretion", which I thought was a little funny considering when he was walking me out his peers/colleagues looked at him confused as he was accusing me off stumbling while I was walking with him perfectly normal. Besides that he also said "it might have been your friends than", at this point I can only assume this was an act of discrimination considering the fact that most of my friends were on the boat and came off with no issues when the boat was docked. I hate to say this but I was the only person of color who is visibly darker in skin tone out of all my friends, not saying this is the reason but I truly can't think of another...

Decent boat trip, but these guys are completely unethical. My fiance and I bought round-trip tickets between Boston (6/30) and Providence (7/3). When we got the tickets at the office in Boston on 6/30, the person who gave them to us didn’t say ANYTHING whatsoever about having to save them. So as soon as we boarded the boat I threw them away, assuming we just get new ones for our return trip. And I’ve never taken the fast ferry before so I had no prior experience with their alleged policies. Now, however, the person at the ticket office in Ptown just charged me $20 to issue new return tickets. This is a pure money grab as I of course, have no leverage whatsoever standing in ptown needing to get the ferry back. it is absolutely ridiculous that I had to pay $20 for what is a few cents worth of paper tickets when I have my receipt and ID. if the policy is to somehow prevent fraud, that doesn’t make any sense either because if i secretly kept my old tickets i could’ve given them to someone else and now I have two new tickets for $20. I’ve been directed to email the manager and will update this if the situation changes. But right now I recommend going with a...

They have a huge group of security people on their team They keep things very orderly while boarding the boat as well as when the trip is over I'll answer some questions people may have but don't ask on this sight LOL I don't really drink BUT most people DO and it's expensive for some people on budgets You are not going to be able to smuggle much alcohol on the boat IF that's something you even want to do to save money on a "booze cruise" They lightly pat you down before boarding so a couple nips each perhaps but not a very big bottle People DO smoke pot on the booze cruise You can't get caught with a pipe in your pocket before boarding so roll a bunch of blunts or joints People smoked during the trip and some of the staff smelled it and asked the people to move further away from the captains office so it didn't blow right in BUT they were nice about it If you have never been on their booze cruise IT IS PACKED LIKE SARDINES OUT ON THE DECK! You can go downstairs to get space if you get to cramped A women got very sick on the boat from drinking along with motion sensitivity The staff was kind and helped her...

Provincetown Fast Ferry offers a comfortable and pleasant way to travel from Boston to Provincetown and avoid the tedious route over land :-) I have taken this ferry many times over the years and particularly enjoy the stunning water views of Provincetown you get as you enter the port. Today, my experience was made even better when I received a stellar customer service response to an issue that I had. In summary, I may have made an error on the website when purchasing my ticket, which was compounded by a potential oversight by the ticket staff when I picked up my ticket, combining to result in my paying twice what I should have for a single round trip adult fare. When I reported what happened on my return to the Boston ticket office, I was worried that I would not be able to prove what happened. I was pleasantly surprised when the issue was escalated to management, who may have been the owner, and who resolved the issue respectfully and efficiently. I will feel good about continuing to patronize the Bay State Cruise Company and the Provincetown Fast Ferry for years to come.

Great option if you’re heading to Provincetown! The ferry is reliable and a really nice way to travel across the bay with great views of the Boston skyline on the way out. Just a heads up—you’ll want to get there early since people start lining up well before boarding, which usually begins about 30 minutes before departure. The ride itself is smooth and comfortable, with plenty of seating and fresh air if you sit outside. Super convenient compared to driving, and a fun way to start your trip to P-town! Keep your tickets safely for return otherwise, you may have to buy a separate ticket.

My go-to ferry to Provincetown! Bay State Cruise Company is hands down the best way to get from Boston to Provincetown and back. The fast ferry is comfortable, reliable, and always staffed with a friendly, helpful crew. It’s such a relaxing and fun way to kick off a holiday. There’s even a snack and drink bar on board to keep things festive. Pro tip: book round-trip tickets—they’re cheaper than buying two one-way fares! Always a smooth ride and a great experience. Highly recommend!
