We had an absolutely terrible experience here. We visited to watch the Michigan-TCU playoff game on New Year's eve and were seated around 2:30 or 3pm, with the game starting at 4pm. Both bathrooms were out of order for a long time, and we had to use the restrooms in another restaurant next door. No one working there told us that they'd be kicking us out of our table around 5pm to set up for a "pajama party" for New Year's eve. This was a really strange choice, given that this is supposedly a sports bar and it was one of the biggest sports days of the year (the first round of NCAA football playoffs) and a full 7 hours before midnight. Nevertheless, they kicked us out of our table at 5pm, and moved us to two separate, cramped cocktail tables near the bar, splitting up our party of 4. When four chairs opened up at the bar, which was open seating, we asked our server whether we could move there to be together (we don’t get to see each other often); he said we could so long as we closed out, and we did, tipping him generously. We all then clearly overheard heard the manager complaining about us, she came over all huffy, name-calling us “dining nomads,” and was apparently mad at our server for moving us. It was extremely awkward to overhear her bashing us, I don’t think she was aware we could hear everything she was saying. We thereafter sought out to continue ordering drinks at the bar, but we had little luck, as the bartending staff all but ignored us completely—due to our changing seats, I think, and we’re still not sure why that was such a big deal. We would have never moved the entire night if we hadn’t been kicked out of our original table. Although it seemed like we were ignored the most, the bartending staff was generally not very good; they spent little time checking in on folks sitting at the bar and were not very friendly. The area they kicked us out of at 5pm was still empty when we left around 7:30pm or so, with no sign of the pajama...
Read moreWow. This place has issues. We were greeted by a host that was very terse. The weather was dicey, and she sternly told us that we could sit outside right now, but if it started raining we were stuck outside. We decided to take our chances, and asked to be sat. She gave us an exasperated look, and told another host to take us to A6.
Once we got theremwe sat and waited. And waited. Then our server came over, got our drink orders, then tried to run off. Luckily we were able to put in an appetizer order. He literally grabbed all of our menus. We were lucky to keep two for our party of four.
Our drinks eventually arrived, soon after our appetizers.
We happily munched on our appetizers, drank our drinks, and eagerly awaited the return of our server. An hour after being sat, we finally saw our server again. We were able to flag him down and put our dinner orders in.
Our dinner came out quickly. Fish Tacos and Fish Sandwiches. I asked for a side of blue cheese for the fries which never arrived. The rice with the tacos was absolutely crunchy. Like it had been sitting for a while.
We finished our food, then waited, and waited, and waited. We finally saw our server and asked for our check.
After we settled up, I spoke to the manager and let him know that this restaurant has issues. I quickly recounted what I wrote above. He was very apologetic, but made no attempt to rectify the situation.
During our time there, we were never offered a refill on waters, or another round of beers. We were absolutely ignored for...
Read moreThis place is special, walked in and the 2 hosts was just talking to each other ignoring our party for a min... Asked to be seated at the bar and was told we can just go ahead and look for our own seats... walked to the bar, not enough available seats for our party of 5 (2 have yet to arrive), we then proceeded to sit at a table nearby which at this time, 90% of the tables was available. A waitress came by and told my friend we can't sit here yet and we'll have to go back out to check in... We tried to explain to her what happened at the bar but she insisted we get up, walk out and check in where as it would have been easy if the waitstaffs can just say welcome and help us check in. Asked for a manager, Tyler came by and explained it's their policy and insisted we get up to check in and we insisted if we get up, we'll just walk out the door, he just walked away saying we do whatever we want... We remained seated, did not gey up to check in and another waitress Rosie came by to start serving us.
As the night gone by, the place got super busy but Rosie was still extremely tentative and you can see her working hard hustling to get food and drink orders in and out vs the manager Tyler, was enjoying the Celtics game on TV most of the night...
We had some wings which was like warm at best, asked for seconds and requested to be hot in temperature, the batch still came out warm but burnt/overcooked... Smh...
Overall, Rosie was superb and will definitely find a better place to work at, will not go back and will...
