I have been to the marina many times over last 10 years. Always friendly helpful staff (like returning your cart for you). Also have been very conscience of other people’s safety by enforcing a mask rule on the docks. You can’t physically be 6 feet from someone passing on a dock! Some people have been whining about wearing a a mask, but I love it. Also recently some obnoxious boats pulled in toting their Trump flags (yes the stereotype is true) partying all night, and threatening to sue anyone that asks them to keep it down. Many of my friends keep their boats here and these out of towners do not represent my fellow boaters. They’ve left some 1 star reviews on here harassing other vessels and making false claims. They are just angry they aren’t welcome. Almost feel sorry for them how pathetic their lives must be to take the time to make up fake names and bully some of the nicest people I know. Anyway, love this place and I was a Charlestown Marina...
Read moreI spent two summers and two winters at Constitution Marina and I don't think there are enough words to say how great my experience was.
The marina is very conveniently located near the city (and that is a very good perk), but the most attractive part of the marina is the service they provide. The dock master (Sebastian) and all the crew (Billy, Will, & others) were readily available for whatever I needed (sometimes even off hours) on the dock. As well, the backend support (Melissa and Amy) had always responded to all my inquiries extremely quickly.
The docks are always in great shape, and everything is tidy. The slip fingers are flawless. The office facilities (bathroom, shower, mailroom, laundry) are amazingly clean, and usually available.
The community is very welcoming to the new boaters, and I made some good friends there.
I would recommend Constitution Marina to anybody who wants to have a boat of any type with great access to the...
Read moreThe response to my critique (for anyone caring to read all this) carries several inaccuracies and misrepresentations. That being said, I have been frustrated with my inability to navigate freely, as I am by being told that my season's contract ends October 15, whereas the winter season begins Nov 1... "read ALL the print" I was told. Many friendly boaters!
Amazing location but EXTREMELY DIFFICULT to navigate in and out of slips if you're over 45ft in length. Most of the docks are in less than fair condition, and surprisingly they replaced some of the outer docks before the main "backbone" ones (they must have a reason...?). The atmosphere overall is very friendly, especially among the people that live aboard their boats year round (however the marina doesn't have the provision to allow year round sailing). Most of the staff is also very helpful and friendly. Lately, it seems the marrina is focusing on the development of "on the...
