The Leonard P. Zakim Bunker Hill Memorial Bridge, finished in 2003, is a stunning cable-stayed structure over Boston’s Charles River. Replacing the old Charlestown High Bridge, it carries Interstate 93 and U.S. Route 1 as part of the Big Dig. Designed by Christian Menn and Miguel Rosales, its harp-like cables symbolize unity.
