This is a 5-star statue! The more you look at it and walk around it, the more you see. The copper has become a beautiful turquoise color. Note: there is a sign stating not to climb on it which is good, but I thought should be mentioned for the people who like to take funny pictures.

Fun statue that makes for a great photo op in Boston. The statue is close to Boston Commons, so it's definitely worth the short walk to check it out. Also make sure to check out the Boston library where they have a bust of Edgar Allan Poe.

Rollicking good fun, a striking "motion in stillness" work of art tribute to the man himself, the famous Edgar Allan Poe. Evocatively humourous with that notorious "raven" mentioned in probably his most haunting and famous work almost stealing the show. This is about one of those statues that everyone stops to take a photo of when you're working on a photo project so it's hard to get the angle you want with the light you need while it's so extra busy. The best is that when you look at the pages of writings that are as well a part of the statues that lead to its ever so warming place. There is a corner store and a cigar shop along with the trolley. A MUST SEE every time I am in Boston. The statue is beautiful and tells a story… this past trip I was there for five days and I think I visited at least three times.
