I have never eaten at this location, and I never will again. I go to the one in Cambridge which is amazing. This location did not have a qualified bartender. I asked for a sangria he stated he didn't have it and he didn't know how to make it which is very simple. The other location always makes me one even though it's not on the menu. So we decided to order whiskey sours which he did not know how to make either . But he made us one anyway And then when he did make it was straight alcohol . And it was gross . Sent it back and it came back even nastier didn't even finish it took one sip and pushed it to the side when my food came out the crab legs were the smallest things I had ever seen I've got bigger crab legs at the grocery store. I didn't feel that it was a friendly environment that everybody was just there just to be there. So I would never go back to this location. And I love the shaking crab. I would like to try the one in Quincy even though it's 15 miles from my house. I will bypass the shaking crab downtown and drive the extra distance just to try and see how they are....
Read moreShaking Crab MADE my visit to Boston so far. Simply AMAZING in every way. I’d read the reviews, and knew I had to come try the seafood. I wasn’t sure when I walked in the door. Decor is understated and casual is the theme. The floor is slippery (for obvious reasons) Shiggy gave me two bibs and two sets of gloves…that’s when I knew I was in for something good. I was amazed. Simply amazing experience tonight. Thanks Shiggy. You have great customer service. The seafood was so fresh and amazing…from The Alaskan king crab to The shrimps. I highly highly highly recommend the Shaking Crab . I hope to be back soon.
UPDATE. My second visit was more enjoyable than my first. Shiggy remembered me and what I asked for my first visit. Very enjoyable. Fantastic food once again. It would be a Regular if I was close enough to make it that. ...
Read moreA unique and special food excursion that must be tried! Everything is incredibly tasty, from the fried lobster tail appetizer to all the various sauces that the main seafood boils/bags come with. As long as you aren't afraid to get a little messy and eat with your hands, this is one of the top seafood restaurants around (and even with takeout they do supply gloves and bibs). I personally get the Alaskan king crab legs, which is a relative steal for what they charge. The shrimp and crawfish are also excellent, but take a little more work to get to the meat. As someone who can't handle a lot of spice, I go for the butter and garlic sauce which is nice, but I wish they had a milder version of the Cajun sauce as that flavor is amazing. And definitely don't forget the fries for dipping...
