The shop has a wonderful choice of fabric, however, our experience with the staff during the recent shot hop was less than desirable. Upon entering the store instead of being greeted with a welcoming, we were assertively informed that the classroom was closed even though we made no attempt to go down the stairs. We were asked if we wanted something specific and mentioned that we were there to complete the shop hop, there was no response. Besides, okay, we continue to look around the store and did not feel very welcome. I know the importance of driving traffic for a ShopHop and make sure to make a purchase in each store. I ended up grabbing a simple grab bag of mystery 5 yds. When I got to the counter I asked if there was anything fun that they were doing for the shop hop with the minimal amount of enthusiasm the associate said we have the poppy block. Here's the pattern. The staff member argued with me and stated that he needed to be in the store in order to receive his entry, where I politely acknowledged that he had just handed me the paperwork in front of her and literally was at the front of the store. I went ahead and hollered to my husband so she could hear his voice and acknowledge he was in the store. We have not lived in Montana for a few years. This used to be an amazing shop both friendly and welcoming however the customer service was not anywhere what I had experienced in years past. I did have my niece and nephews with me and we felt that once we walked in the door with the kids, we were not welcome an unfortunate experience. It honestly was a poor way to end the shop hop and I personally...
Read moreA beautiful old building now housing a charming quilt shop. Notice the ceiling, windows, and chandelier. Beautiful quilts on the very tall walls. I chatted with an employee who made one of the quilts on the wall that would be a class this summer. Very patient and informative lady. Lots of beautiful fabrics, heavy on the batiks it seemed to me. A good selection of wide backings and minky and soft backings. Interesting patterns from local or regional artists. I loved that. The store owner cut my fabric and was so nice. I didn't browse the tools too much but that seemed good. I followed a gaggle of older tourists that all bought fun things for their projects. They were pretty cute bring so excited to find their treasures. A very nice store you...
