I came to these gentlemen summer of 2020. They graciously fixed a watch I'd purchased on Amazon. Came back that fall and replaced the battery of said watch. Then, came back in late winter/early spring on 2021 to fix the same watch and they did the best they could. I blame it on the manufacturer, not these guys, they were incredibly informative, helpful AND understanding!
Fast forward, purchased a Citizen watch that I LOVE in the summer of 2021 and a pin fell out one day, in June 2022(normal day to day, wear and tear use, nothing extraordinary, I work the clerical side of a medical specialist)...still under warranty but the company wanted this, that, and more....for a simple pin?! I took the watch to The Last Windup, and as usual, friendly beyond belief, knowledgeable and UNDERSTANDING(these guys are GEMS). I explained the situation, the associate said, "oh, a pin? Let me take a look!" Within 2 minutes, he comes back and says, "was it the first or second pin entry that you had?" I stated 'whatever works, I trust you!'....he says "ok" walks back to his little work area, comes back, has me try it on and it fit perfect like before! I said, "Thank you so much! How much do I owe you?"....not a thing. These gentlemen are the real deal and I've been talking about them for the last two years and I've lived in Montana for 40yrs.
Thank you to The Last Windup for giving me my watch back and making it easier for me to NOT rely on my smartphone....an exceptionally dumb way...
Read moreAlways walk by whenever I am downtown. Usually go in to window shop their pieces. This time however, I needed some repairs done. In my own attempts to do it on my own, I popped out parts, lost pieces, and even ended up bending the hands trying to put them back on. Sent them an email, and they replied very quickly. Told me to bring it and they'd take a look.
I walk in, and as usual, very polite friendly staff. Greeted me and told them my dilemma with my assorted parts asking them if they could reassemble it or if needed to order a new movement(quartz). Said if the had to order a new one the price would be x amount of dollars. Dropped it off, said they'd call me in a few days when complete. Before I even got home, I had an email just to send me a quoted estimate price with all the service order details. Called me yesterday saying that it was done. It was less than a week turnaround time with a new part that had to be ordered.
Great place to fix up your watch. They did not make me feel like I was a waste if time for a quartz movement. Doesn't matter if you have a Timex, a microbrand like Delma(mine) or a name brand automatic, they have the skills to help. Very very pleased with their service! Definitely will be bringing in my 8 other pieces that also...
Read moreI "found" Dave from an extensive internet search looking for someone to attempt repairs on numerous vintage watches of mine some 100 years old or more in one case. I sent him one to see how it would go and was extremely pleased not only with the pricing but the follow up of what he found and how he would fix it. Since then over the last 18 months or so he has cleaned/repaired 7 watches from the 1850s to the 1920s; they all now run and I am as pleased as can be. One of them I had been told by 4 watch repair jewelers could not be fixed but he did it!!! That was truly amazing. I have had to send 2 back to him for warranty work and both were fixed without no questions asked. I don't think the returns were the fault of inappropriate work but rather the fickel nature of old timepices. I can easily recommend Dave and his store with no hesitation at all; he will get my return business and I tell others about him.
I like working with him so much I am considering a trip to Montana just to say...
