I would NOT recommend cold stone Branson, MO location under current management and standards. Last weekend my family and I went to enjoy some ice cream after hike on a nice spring day. I ordered ice cream and it was excellent. My sister ordered two scoops of ice cream each being a different flavor, but the server (a nice young man) accidently scooped the wrong ice cream and proceeded to fix his mistake after we realized the order was wrong. My wife ordered a shake and the taste was not bad however it had the consistency of plain milk. We brought this to their attention and one of the servers said “Oh, I may have added too much milk” and then acted like she would remake it. Then the cashier/server named Lizzie essentially said we might be able to replace it after we take care of these people. Which was frustrating considering we had to wait on the full line of people for their own mistake. So after approximately of waiting for 5 minutes for the mistake to be fixed, they still had not begun making the new shake. Finally, after the line dwindled down, Lizzie began to make the shake. After she made the shake, she rudely slammed the shake on the counter. Part of the shake was dripping down the side of the cup. My wife asked for a napkin and Lizzie pointed down towards the cash register and said the napkins are down there. My sister walked up to the cash register and asked for a manager. There was no manager on site at this time. So my sister asked to talk to one of the girls. Lizzie came out and my sister said that she did not appreciate with the way we had been treated. Lizzie immediately began to defend herself and said that we typically do not replace orders for taste even though taste had nothing to do with problem, it was that the original one was not made correctly and the young lady who made it even said that was the case. Lizzie continued to try to argue and defend her case. After realizing that Lizzie did not have any concerns with the customer service we received, we asked for the manager’s phone number. She temporarily went to the back, opened the door abruptly, gave us a sticky note, and then slammed the door shut. This was very disturbing and frustrating way to end our evening. The managers name was Cassie and after leaving a voicemail and text message we still have not had contact with Cassie. This whole situation (besides the young man) was handled in an unprofessional way. I would highly recommend heading on down the street to Andy’s Frozen Custard! Cold Stone is losing our business after this...
Read moreWalked in waited in line only to be ignored, NEVER greeted, and when it came to our turn the young girl with Braces still had not greeted us, or even tried to take our order at this point!
Then this person with Braces walked by us once again to get what I take was an online order? She then walked passed use again, still no greeting, to talk to the Hispanic guy working with her, and complaining the order she just got had to many topping add on's, and she was gonna have to put it in two cups, mind you we were still standing there waiting 2b even talked to, or order taken, with NO LUCK, since we didn't matter what so ever!!!
The girl with Braces then started complaining she had to make waffle cones for the online order since they didn't have enough on hand?
It was at this point we still hadn't been greeted or our order taken, and she walked past us again as if we weren't even in the building and walked ro the waffle machines!
When she got to the waffle irons I said hey while your making those can you make me a waffle bowl with chocolate and almonds, I'm gonna want one when we finally get out order taken?
She replied "I wish we can't put chocolate on anything, looks like you waited all that time for nothing!
The bathrooms were the NASTIEST I've ever seen, smelled like Urine, and nasty floors too!
We walked out and WILL NEVER come back to this nasty place...
Read moreI go to Coldstone so often I just always have CS gift cards in my bag, as does my kids in their backpacks. There are a lot of places to have ice cream in Branson, but Coldstone by Dixie Stampede is the BEST. You may have to wait a few minutes in line, but its because each customer gets personalized attention - so be patient, it'll be worth it.
Jonathan and the whole crew work hard to make sure every ice cream delight is perfect and to your specifications - and if you don't know what something tastes like, ask for a sample, heck ask for a dozen, they'll gladly do it - they want you to be happy with your choice.
My only complaint is they have yet to get the punch cards back in after several months of waiting, but they will punch your receipt, just ask... and still redeem the same way. Oh and if you are a local, tell them, there is a discount (me they don't ask, they know me, lol).
If you come to Branson, especially if you've never been to a Coldstone, you gotta stop by and try a Love It, (or if you like something smaller a Like It, or something bigger, a Gotta Have It. And the waffle bowls & cones are great if you like it...
