Don't walk away, RUN! I just spoke directly with their General Manager, who made my visit the most uncomfortable and unwelcoming. I used to work in a fitness club for 4 years, and never treated my customers like that. I felt humiliated and insulted by the way he talked to me in front of other people interrupting every word that I said. I came two days ago to use my One free week pass and was able to use the facility twice. Today was my third day/visit, and I forgot to bring my ID, which I didn't even have to bring in the first place, as I was told by the sales rep that I only need to give my name to the receptionists. So I came today, and they couldn't find me in the system. For the time they kept me there, I was already late for the 7 pm class, and I told them that I needed to make it on time (in order not to miss a warm-up and not to injure myself). They eventually asked the General Manager to step in, and this is where it all started. He claimed that I already used my pass in February, which was no true, and he said that even signed for it. When I asked to show any paperwork and my signature to prove his statement, he got mad, telling me that I can't talk to him like this. He obviously couldn't prove anything, and his reaction showed it. I have reminded him that I would like to make it to the class, and he continued telling me that I could not enter. After back and forth conversation in a very unpleasant tone, he did me a favor and let me in, however, he did everything in his power to ruin my mood, and I missed the warm-up, and couldn't even focus on exercise after experiencing such humiliation, so I eventually left, and will never be back. This is the most horrible customer service I was ever given, especially unexpected from the General Manager. The place was just recently opened, and they already don't care about the way they treat their potential customers. I do not recommend this place to anyone. I also believe the corporate office has to bring their close attention to the work of this General Manager. The way he talks to people and the way he makes them feel...
Read moreI have been a member to quite a few gyms over the years, and this gym is one of the most poorly maintained gyms that I have ever been a member of, despite it by far being the most expensive. This is all the more disappointing because it is new.
None of the staff do anything to maintain the building throughout the day. There is no maintenance or cleaning whatsoever.
Evidence of this is seen in things that should be fairly routine. For example, the water dispenser filter is bad and needs to be changed, and it has been ever since I joined. I don’t think changing a water filter is too much to ask for $50.00 a month membership fee.
There are also no disinfectant sprays provided to wipe down equipment. Hand sanitizer is provided, but this is entirely inconvenient for wiping down equipment.
At any given time, several pieces of machinery are non-operational. While I understand machines break, maintenance and repairs are not scheduled for several months or more. Approximately 30% of the cardio machines are non-operational.
Some machines have had their weight indication stickers ripped off. While it should be easy enough to replace a sticker, instead, this location decided it is sufficient to write in the weight indicator with some kind of handwritten chalk. There are also several knobs missing on the lockers in the locker rooms. The place is also dirty (especially the locker rooms) and full of trash. If there was any semblance of maintenance, these issues wouldn’t exist.
I was a member of several other gyms that charge $20 dollars a month, and all were better maintained. Very...
Read moreJust joined and so far so good. However my first experience in the sauna was borderline disgusting. An elderly male was dry shaving in the sauna using a razor, i had to speak up and calmly tell him about the unsanitary conditions he was bringing into the place, he understood and apologized, catch more flies with honey. Secondly the equipment is all new and pretty has all 4 brick fitness gyms rolled into one. Every body part is organized via machines for the most part. The personal training area is huge and is just a nuisance in the center of the gym, not to mention if someone is getting trained, more often then not they are new to the gym scene and do not want all those eyes staring at them like its a wrestling match and they are in a squared circle. Moving it to the back behind the treadmills against the wall and bringing the rowers up front might alleviate some of the room restrictions. The 10 machines by the kids club could also join and freeing up that space for maybe a table or two. I do wish they supplied basketballs, it appears you have to bring your own. The pool area is wide open to the public, meaning its by the windows and anyone can look in while your walking around in your bathing suit, very very creepy if someone is standing in their car watching you, i wish the windows darkened or curtained. Lastly, my biggest complaint is no racquetball courts, that killed it for me. The basketball area and spin room is soo big leaving no room for anything else. Price wise it isnt bad. Its typical pricing for a gym. Hoping it doesnt...
