The building event they hosted on 5/4 was chaotic. I asked the young man staff how many building kits you have, he said no he couldn't tell. What? The staff just asked the customers to wait idly or swept them out. I understood that it is a business trick to get the shop to look great, a crowd, actually a silly crowd because eventually the customers will find out they were tricked. The event was from 12pm to 2 pm, at about 11pm there was a crowd but everybody was staying in line with hope, yet finally was upset. About 2pm the staff told us the event was about finished but they still let people go inside until they cut the line at us. I asked what was going wrong and guess what, a lady staff in Princess Leia costume answered me with an extremely bad attitude. Then I discussed the manager on duty, Mr. Ben DoNoThing, as his name, he could do nothing but just ask me to have a service number. I asked for his manager's phone number because he just repeated what he said and completely had no idea how to deal with this situation. Guess what, he showed me the shop phone number, excuse me? I told him, look, today is May 4th, and it's raining, and the theme for the event is Star War, why don't you get people registered and cut off the line at the beginning? Why can't you tell the rest of the customers we are sorry but we have reached our limit today? Chaos. This was not the first time Manager Ben did such a "great job" with bias, or I will say he has discrimination, I am afraid. B&N, Macy's, they all did everything right and their building events were all going smoothly. Shame on...
Read moreI was really disappointed you could not build a custom mini figurine like you supposedly can in the United Kingdom stores. There they have an in-store kiosk where you can pick all the possible combinations of heads, torsos, legs and accessories for you own mini figurine. Here in the u.s. stores you have to dig through a bin of random parts to try and make the mini figure you want. Obviously impossible to make the one you want. I ended up going online to a service that does this - with a very limited selection of choices. I am trying to make Lego mini figurines to represent the different branches of Incident Management from Emergency Management (green, red, blue, white, yellow, and...
Read moreI LOVE lego and the staff at this store is amazing! Very kind and will go out of their way to check the inventory in the back to ensure that there aren’t any sets hiding in the back. They even will sometimes have sets that are sold out online! On top of that, I love the way that they approached client care through out the pandemic. I never once felt unsafe in their store. They enforced masks, went of social distancing with everyone that entered the store and followed maximum occupancy policies consistently. It was encouraging to see how much they care about their employees and their clients. Just another reason...
