I rarely ever leave a review and when I have, they have only ever been positive ones. This is unfortunately not the case. I schedule my appointment online on a Monday for 6pm the following Thursday. I received an email the day of saying my appointment was changed to 5pm. No request or contact attempt made. This would not normally bother me however, I scheduled the appointment for after work and have a 2 hour commute. Seeing the time had changed I had to abruptly leave work. I would have just changed my appointment however I desperately needed new tires and did not want to prolong getting new ones any longer . During my commute I ran into traffic and found I would be 10 minutes late. Being courteous of others time, I contacted belle tire at 4pm and let them know I was going to be a few minutes late and questioned the reason behind the appointment change. I was told “everything is going to be ok”….. and unknown reasons for the email I received. I was told to continue my attempt to make it by 5 and they would still be able to service me. Now, other than the condescending “everything will be okay” none of the above warranted a poor review at this point . I understand glitches in systems and mistakes. However, I asked specifically if my appointment time remained at 6pm on there end and if arrived at 510, if they would be able to service me at that time or if I’d have to wait until 6. They confirmed they could take me at 5 when I arrived. I arrived between 5 and 510, shared information about the email and showed it to the staff checking me in. They said it may be due to the time difference where there headquarters are located. I was not looking for the exact reason why, just wanted to let them to prevent this happening to another customer and their staff. I asked what the expected wait time would be expecting it to be an hour and was told they were backed up and it would be close to 2 hours. Further explaining the conversation I had just had with another employee saying they would be able to take me at 5 without an issue, they then apologized and said they would get to it right away. I sat for an additional hour and 25 minutes before they had even brought my vehicle into the shop and ended up being there for 2 hours. Had they told me during my initial call that they were behind and to come in at 6, I would have been understanding. Again, things happen. But I gave multiple opportunities for them to be honest about the actual time of the appointment and how long the wait would be. I felt that they were completely dishonest and inconsiderate of not only my time but several other customers waiting on there vehicles. After having to abruptly leave my job, take personal time off for having to leave early, rush in heavy traffic for 2 hours making an effort to be “on time”? Whatever time that actually was, AND giving the opportunity without complaint for them to tell me to keep my original time because they were behind, I get the runaround, lied to about wait time, and condescending remarks as if I’m an unstable woman about to throw a temper tantrum. FYI, if you’re in a situation where a woman is simply addressing discrepancies in efforts to prevent things from happening to other customers and your staff, just speak to them like a human… After informing the garage manager? That I had been waiting an hour and a half at this point and my car was not even on the lift, he offered a free oil change which I decline because I do those myself. Just be realistic and honest with your customers and train your staff how to speak to women like humans (who may actually know a thing or two about vehicles) and...
Read moreTo start off, I am a mechanic by trade and I do not recommend this place to anyone. I run a small mechanic shop and was looking for a place to send customers for an allignment or tires if needed after repairing their car since I do not have the capability to do allignments or tires from my location. I first brought my personal vehicle and my mothers car to test this place out as it was new to me 5 days prior to writing this.
My mothers car was brought in for tires and an allignment. I called first so they could have the tires ordered and ready when the car was dropped off. I later recieved a call that the tires were done but the allignment couldn't be performed because of a bad wheel bearing. Since we were pressed for time and they already had the car I mistakenly trusted them to do the work. Their next call to me was to inform me that they had installed the incorrect wheel bearing. So another day goes by and they get the correct part installed however after re-assembly and attempted allignment, I recieved a call that the car still cannot be aligned correctly because of a bad control arm bushing. I decided to test drive the car before I authorized them to do more repairs since I was busy with a customer's vehicle at the time. Test drive was bad but unfortunately I let them have the car back to fix the control arm bushings. So again another day and wasted trip goes by and I recieved a call that the car is finally done. "Drives straight down the road and no problems. The tech drove it 30 minutes to verify the bad allignment pulling is gone." So when I get there I test drive the car and notice the gas still over full after "30 minutes of driving" and my mothers previous 15-20 miles on the car after topping off the gas. On the test drive the car was still pulling! SO I turned around and told the manager Jonathan Baerga of the situation. After having to show him a video to make him believe me, he had me test drive the car yet again with the technician in the passenger seat. The technician adknowledged the problem and he told John about the cars current condition. I wasn't going to leave there until the car wasn't pulling anymore especially after the $1,500 in combined bills from all the calls back. So 3 or so hours go by and it is after closing time. I have a different technician approach me and tell me that he has absolutely nope idea what can be wrong with the car and there is nothing more that him or anyone can do. My mother and I were then shown the door to a still broken car. In between those calls I mistakenly had my personal vehicle in for new tires. Before bringing it there the car drove perfectly fine and did not pull. After recieving a likely un-needed allignment, the car now pulls to the right even with the new tires and Allignment.
Had I known the shop would be like this I would have taken the tires off myself and done the repairs on the car separately from the new tires. I will never suggest this place to friends, family or customers. I should have never trusted this place with my mothers car and I regret doing any...
Read moreGave Belle Tire in Yorkville as soon as they opened and have gone to them for basically everything that they can do for me since. I have used both chain shops and local, private-owned shops in the past but have received the best service and pricing from Belle Tire by far. They typically accept walk-ins at any point throughout the day and can tackle a range of issues from simple tasks like light bulbs/fuses; to oil changes; to any kind of tire/brakes maintenance; to mechanical/electrical issues; and many more.
I purchased a full set of tires (4) from them at the beginning of June 2023 and purchased the tire insurance plan which I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND to anyone looking for tires. They have plugged my tires multiple times no questions and even replaced one completely. When they replaced it they also rotated the tires for free at the time as per the insurance.
I'm not even certain exactly how much money it has saved me and will continue to save me in the future. They also replaced my front passenger ball joint and alignment which caused the car to now run as if it's brand new again. That we obviously paid for and their pricing was comparable/less than many other shops in the area for the work that needed to be done on the ball joint.
I will be having them do my oil change this coming week and my mother is going to have them replace the brakes on her Mercedes SL550 AMG (which demonstrates how much we trust and support this garage).
I would recommend them to anyone and everyone as their prices are competitive, employees are friendly, don't try to upsell on everything, and are extremely knowledgeable and flexible.
If you are having any issues with your vehicle and/or need some kind of maintenance done, I would HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND BELLE TIRE (especially over any other mechanic shop in yorkcille that I have seen/been in/had work done on vehicles at).
This shop and the workers go above and beyond to make sure eveyone is happy and seem to help people find the best (most affordable for what they want) option(s) for their vehicle(s). They don't require an arm or leg as payment and point out the differences between things or lack of difference for the best pricing for the consumer.
My family are all starting to use Belle Tire, and I can see us sticking with the company so long as the essence of the company and pricing/policies don't get ridiculous.
TLDR: Belle Tire is amazing and has fantastic pricing, perks, employees, and more. Highly recommend to anyone...
