We ordered an ice unit for our refrigerator, as ours stopped working. The tech came to our house to install the unit. He was beyond pleasant and very respectful. We had no problems with him at all. Later that night after our ice unit was installed, it still did not make ice and it started making a grinding sound which we didnโt have prior to the new installation. We called the store to report this problem the very next day, but got no return call that day. Today, we were called by a woman to talk about this issue. She said she would talk to the tech and get back with us. She, in fact, did call back telling us she spoke with the tech and she was told that it was a water issue and if we wanted them to come back out, they would do a diagnostic test and we would get charged for this test. To add to this, we now have a very loud knocking noise when the ice machine is on. To this point, it still has not made a single ice cube! This lady was rude and dismissive. Why would we have to pay for a diagnostic test when we paid $350 up front to fix our broken ice machine!! This makes no sense to us at all. Plus, the tech may have told her this information, however, her delivery of this message to us was condescending and unprofessional!
This town is way too small to treat customers so poorly and we are still in the same situation, however, less $350 dollars!
We would appreciate getting our moneyโs worth and having a fully functional...
ย ย ย Read moreI found Marshal to be very friendly and understanding of my dilemma, as well as both highly experienced and proficient with his deductive reasoning and his workmanship. Edit: You know, I still find his ability and personality to be top notch but the collateral damage my machine suffered during reinstallation is unforgivable! He had a vacuum and of course I wondered why he didnโt bother cleaning up after he finished the job and then it all became so clear to me as I was cleaning it up for myself. The paint on the washer beneath has been marred and scratched to an unbelievable extent and could easily have been avoided with a protective drop cloth. Now, I can sand it lightly to lighten the blemishes but whoโs to say if I will be able to find an even close to accurate paint match to give it a decent appearance again. All this adds up to an even greater personal expense than the $225 Iโve already paid you and thereโs no telling if I will get it right on my first tryโฆ Any product recommendations for my restoration project are certainly welcome but it would be especially appreciated if you would also cover the cost of the...
ย ย ย Read moreMy dad bought a refurbished washer from them and within a month it broke. Dad bought a five year warranty so I called them to get it serviced and they said it would be a week for the part. Three weeks later we took the washer up to Brookings wanting it fixed as Iโve wasted a ton of money at the laundromat and the man there Iโm assuming was the husband was great, he gave us a unit till he repaired mine. Unfortunately within another few months the unit broke again, it stopped spinning at all so I went in and talked with the owner and she was extremely rude and unhelpful. I really donโt understand how they can sell a product and not stand behind their work. I was so upset I donโt have the money to spend On the laundromat so I am happy to rent a washer from Advantage Rental where I have always had amazing service and Iโm saving money not going to the laundromat. Meanwhile my washer is still broken waiting on the service tech to come fix it. Iโm truly disappointed and kind of disgusted that they can treat their clientele this way. My dad spent 400$ on the washer and like 300 in the 5 year warranty for bad service and a...
