THE MOST EXPENSIVE PLACE TO EAT IN BROOKINGS. In reality, I never got to try the food. I walked in and placed an order for three steak tacos knowing that it should be fast and simple to make. There were three customers ahead of me waiting for their orders. After about ten minutes hey cleared the customers ahead of me. 15 minutes later as I stood there patiently waiting and observing that the food prep people are NOT following COVID cleanliness standards, it dawned on me that at my hourly rate plus the price of the food this place is a waste of my time and money. I walked out leaving the drinks and other items i was going to purchase and decided to spend my money elsewhere. Who knows? Cielito Lindo is the OG spot in Brookings, Oregon for authentic Mexican food. They have the best Tortas ever--I always get the Carnitas Torta with a side of green salsa. They have massive, super filling Super Burritos (I recommend the Carne Asada). Great breakfast burritos too (Chorizo all the way)! In addition to all of that, they're a market, so you have your pick from a wide selection of beverages and snacks (including Mexican snacks like Flan, Pan Dulce, and tamarind & chile candies.

I want to like their food, but I am disappointed. I ordered (2) carne asada burritos w/cheese. They charged me extra for cheese. So all total It cost me $21. Where was the beef? Hardly any meat in it. And what meat was there wasnt really grilled like asada should be. For that price, they didnt even give tortilla chips. Seriously? Then I asked for an extra salsa and the look I got was as if I asked for free money. Honestly, the ladies who work there arent really friendly. When you walk in to order they look at you like youre an inconvenience. I think they have forgotten what it means to appreciate the customer, to be friendly and to be more generous with their food... especially when someones paying over $10...
