I was disappointed by the service here. I went in with my mom to purchase a large expensive (very overpriced) floral decoration half sheet cake a few months ago. It was for a special occasion, and I asked the young lady at the counter during check out if she would be able tie the white box the cake was placed in with a simple balloon tie rope/string which they had plenty of in various colors. She said she could do it but that I would need to wait until she took care of some other customers in line, which I said was fine. I ended up waiting close to an hour for someone to tie a simple bow outside of the box which could have taken less than a minute. When a girl finally did put 2 colored ballon tie ropes around the box, it was not tied properly and was poorly and loosely tied... Disappointed, to say the least. It was a simple task and not only did we have to wait for almost an hour but it seemed like no effort or care was put in even when someone did do it. I ended up forgetting my umbrella at the store after leaving it at the front to wait around with my elderly mom, and they never found it after I checked by calling them then going back to the store a few days later. I'm not upset about the umbrella, just that the service after purchasing a big expensive cake was super disappointing. Needless to say, I will not be going back here in the future.

Update after reading Party Favors' team response: "and you even said that it looked good before you accepted the box back and thanked us for going above and beyond. I'm a little confused to the one star review - if you were disappointed in the service you received, we would have gladly rectified it immediately if given the chance, which we were not. Your transaction in our store was no where near an hour long." ----- I'm confused by your response. I'm sorry but what you wrote is not accurate - I said a simple thank you out of common courtesy but do you have any proof that I said it looked good and "thanked you for going above and beyond"? I did not say that at all. This was an honest customer review; my mom and I absolutely did wait for roughly 45 minutes for the balloon tie wrap (which were lined up close to the register) - I don't recall the exact time because this was...

I want to share my experience with anyone planning to order a customized cake from this store, so you know what to expect.

I ordered a customized cake last week, paying $132.95 (including a $10 tip). When I received the cake, it wasn’t what I expected. I called the store, and they confirmed it was exactly what I ordered. While the cake had the elements I requested – the sunset, the girl, and the cat – the quality of the elements were totally off (Or not even close to it). They had even confirmed via email that I wanted the same color as the reference photo, but the color was clearly different. The store claimed the difference was just in the "style".

Before calling the store, my friend who picked up the cake was surprised and asked for the reference photo, and even my brother thought it looked off. That’s when I decided to call.

After speaking with the manager and the person who made the cake, they confirmed that the cake looks like what I ordered. So, I couldn't do anything about it. I told the manager I’d still leave a 5-star review but would mention this in my online review so future customers could set their expectations. When I was looking for cake stores, I relied on Google reviews, which looked great, but this type of review would have helped me know what to expect.

My girlfriend’s birthday is tomorrow, but I decided not to surprise her because I knew she wouldn’t be happy with the cake – and she wasn’t. We talked about it, and I realized I couldn’t lie to myself about how disappointed I was, so I’m giving the store a 2-star review.
