Unkempt theater. The staff at concessions are always rude. One staff member, an Asian male, rolled his eyes repetitively with an older gentlemen asking questions about certain items. All of the ones I've encountered do not change their gloves between processing payment at the register (touching customer phones and cards to tap) and making your food. Filthy.
Update: I decided to give it another chance today (6/8/25) but this time I was made fun of by not just the customers but by the employees. During the Chuck movie I was told by multiple movie goers I was annoying and one insisted I was sick. I have tourettes so I make clearing throat noises. I cannot help it and theaters don't have enough sensory days for "people like me". I made them aware of the fact and it didn't change their tune. I then went to the front to ask for a refund, back to my AMC stubs account, due to being a "disturbance." The female employee tried her hardest to not laugh at my situation and asked again if I was certain I'd like a refund. I informed her having a disability was not something to laugh at. She stopped and tried to persuade me into thinking she wasn't laughing at the current situation. Once I was refunded I returned to my seat to retrieve my $30 in a drink and 2 hot dogs. When I came towards the exit I met the manager, speaking to the same employee that laughed at me. I asked when it was I'd see the refund and she mentioned immediately. The manager then asked if I'd like an extra ticket to "accommodate" the situation. I told her no, it wouldn't change the fact their demographic are bullies and that people don't understand disabilities. She then ended the interaction with a "may god bless you." This woman was in her early 20s, not from the south, and telling me to be blessed by god in the most sarcastic tone I have ever heard. Is it a trend for people to make fun of those that are disabled, blatantly and publicly WHILE IN UNIFORM? For god's sake. Wait until you're home and behind your keyboard. This experience was way worse than the last and I will definitely not...
Read moreCompared to the other nearby AMC theaters, I did not prefer this small location inside the mall. During my visit, 4 out of 8 theaters did not have working air conditioning. While they did warn us (after scanning the tickets), I feel they should have made an executive decision that day that seating people in hot theaters for hours was not safe or appropriate. My boyfriend and I went inside the movie screening room to check it out before buying popcorn and committing to stay, but at the time it didn't feel tooo bad, certainly manageable. By the middle-end I could not care less what was happening in the movie, I was so distracted by thinking cool thoughts and wiping sweat off my forehead. It got HOT. By then we felt like we'd already seen most of the movie so asking for a refund would be like asking to have a meal that you've already eaten to be comped. We were just trying to make it through and when finished, we couldn't get out of there soon enough. The one thing I hoped might redeem the experience was the movie theater popcorn, but no, even that was sadly disappointing, by which I mean burnt. Not to mention, after waiting in line while 2 cashiers were serving guests, when I became 1st in line, one of the cashiers walked away from her computer and started stocking things. The other guest at the open cash register apparently had a long and complicated order because whatever was happening over there was moving very slowly. I just stood there waiting until a new guy came behind the counter and helped me. Mind you, it was a nice escape into some air conditioning, but just another example of why I would never choose to come to this theater again, when AMC Burbank 6 and the Universal Theaters studio are so much...
Read moreI was a bit hesitant going to this movie theater. I had seen it in the news awhile back and presented it as more likely to be a kitschy place. My mind was already made up when I arrived at this place, which was I didn't like it already. The kiosk were very big, the information you need to buy was clear, a bit confusing on the time showing and the time that either tickeys stops selling for a particular movie or when the showing starts. The size of the self serve kiosks is also helpful if you're on a wheelchair. The price for tickets are pricey for Burbank, but read throughout my whole experience and it's reasonably so. There is a bar and a regular food concession. The bar is not made to hang around till youre drunk but it's like a service similar to the Euro train. Serice of the staff at the concession was super fasts, efficient, and it's a bit pricey, but it make sense...I needed to use the bathroom and they have a reasonable size bathroom, clean a d seems to be bigger for the theater's size. So the movie theater was small, but spacoous for people, not loke the cramped space on most theaters, the seats are red leather...and very aoft and comfortable like butter...and my gosh the seats recline, and it was an experience that was exceptional. For the price of food and drinks and the tickets, it is worrh the place. I will be watching more movies at this place...
