I was a member at the location that closed in Northridge a while back. Iâve shot thousands of rounds at that range alone and figured going to the Burbank location wouldnât be any different. If you want to be treated with respect ask for Keith. There is this other dude with a southern accent thatâs completely condescending and looking for a fight. So much so even, I thought about just walking out after doing the fire arm safety test but my trigger finger was itching bad. Thanks to the dude who told me to âgo fetchâ the snap cap after failing to belittle me and have me feeling stupid like new shooters. Pro tip. There are other ranges in California with rifle lanes (up to 308.) You guys arenât special and barley even relevant anymore, it was the convenience. Wanting to get into an argument with a rude staff member who has a chip on his shoulder is definitely not. Look up oak tree gun club or smoking barrel. Me personally will probably never go here again, maybe the one in H.B. Legitimately have spent thousands of dollars at your dinky little range and you canât train staff to not want to pick fights? To the dude with the twangy south west accent please. Do yourself a favor and take a trip to east side Long Beach, Compton or what have you. Weâll see if you just thought you could be that way with me or everyone. Personally even if I was a new shooter or a new anything, someone explaining how to do something like a jerk tends to turn a lot of people off to the subject. Talking to people like dogs in this state wonât get you very far either.đ P.S. I spent $200 to shoot 100 rounds out of 2 of the most gunked up 9mmâs Iâve ever fired. Pathetic... get staff that arenât looking for fights please. Pretty sad when the place that you pretty much learned to be proficient with any firearm they had there at the northridge location just to see less of the original staff at Burbank and the new employees treating you like an idiot even as an avid shooter. He says âcan you properly unload a fire arm?â I said âwhat platform do you want me to do?â Country boy jerk âđȘđâ walks away.. real nice guy. I honestly hope this review finds the right audience and this place either changes drastically or goes under No gun range in California is that great due to the strict laws anyway but the atmosphere use to at least always be chill and educational Either you guys just forgot how to care Or just donât...
Read moreIâve visited this range several times in the past, but unfortunately, this last visit will be my final one.
We originally planned to go to an outdoor range but decided on an indoor one due to the extreme heat that day. When we arrived, despite it being Father's Day weekend, the range was not busy at all which was surprising . At check-in, the AC was blasting cold air in the lobby, which made us feel like we made the right decision to come here instead of going to an outdoor range.
After checking in, we headed to the range and immediately realized there was no air conditioning. It was about 95 degrees outside, and the shooting area was just as hot if not worse. The space is small, poorly ventilated, and completely uncomfortable. When I asked about it, I was told thereâs no AC at all, only a ventilation system that kicks on every four minutes. Thatâs a serious safety and comfort issue, especially for an indoor range in this kind of weather.
When I informed the staff I was done and wanted to leave because of the conditions, I was met with attitude. The employee didnât acknowledge the concern or offer any apology. Instead, he just asked âWhat lane were you on?â in a dismissive and rude tone, completely ignoring the reason I was leaving.
Iâve been here many times before, but this experience sealed the deal. Not having AC is one thing, but treating paying customers poorly while the staff stays cool in an air-conditioned lobby is unacceptable. At the very least, there should have been a clear warning about the lack of climate control.
Wasted 30 minutes driving there, spent $20, and walked away with nothing but heat exhaustion, bad service and frustration. Maybe itâs tolerable in winter, if you're okay with breathing every four minutes but I would stay away from this place on the hot days or in general because of their...
Read moreThis place is VERY unprofessional. I went in with my dad today expecting to go in with him. I had been to this place before ( about half a year ago ) and was treated really nice, and even been told to come back whenever since I wanted to learn how to handle different types of guns properly. This was my second time going back with my dad who had been coming to this range for around 20 years. The moment we went in I immediately felt the worker target my dad as if he was some sort of danger. He gave us a "safety check" that the guy before us didn't do. They asked him to treat the ammunition in the gun as real ammunition and to unload a loaded gun without breaking any safety regulations. The worker loaded the gun and my dad unloaded the gun facing the ground and gave him the bullets. The worker proceeded to tell him to "try again and remember that everybody in the room counts". He did it again the same way, just more attentive to the way he was doing it as he didn't think there was anything wrong with the way he was unloading the gun. The worker then accused him of "pointing the gun at him TWICE" and kicked us both out saying he couldn't rent out a gun for us. There are no written rules and there wasn't a manager to talk to when we requested it. He kept repeating the same phrase over and over about pointing the gun at others. After going to this place for over 20 years we would never come back. The place discriminates, targets, and has staff that has no knowledge about how to treat its customers. Even if something had been wrong with the way the gun was held, a proper certified instructor would have explained the mistake before the second attempt was made. We had never had a problem like this before so it was extremely disappointing to be treated this way. I would give this place negative...
