I want to start by prefacing that I have never left any sort of review, but this was my first time getting my nails done since 2022 and I just had a baby 7 months ago so I finally wanted to do something for myself. I got my nails done 5 days ago and 3 have already lifted and popped off. I arrived around 3:00-3:30 on a Sunday as a walk-in and they close at 6:00. My pedicure started around 4:00 and the girl who did that did a wonderful job. I sat down with a gentleman to do my acrylics/manicure around 4:45-5:00 and people kept piling in. He was very quiet which I didn’t mind. But then I could tell he started rushing and hurrying due to the line of people and also heard him talking about it with other staff, who were also complaining about people coming in. I’m not very confrontational especially when I have someone in the middle of doing something for me in hopes to look nice, but I was holding out hope that the shape of my nails would improve by the end of the process. Unfortunately a lot of them are crooked which isn’t the end of the world, however I feel like they would’ve looked better had he not been rushing. I also left with gel polish cured to my fingers which I had to peel off when I got in the car. And again, the fact I’m 5 days out and already have had 3 nails pop off. The picture I attached is also from the day of and they look like I’d already had them for a little while. I’d go back for a quick pedicure but I don’t think I’ll be back for anything to do...
Read moreWhen I first discovered Nail Art, it was by mistake. I HAD been going to Lucky Nails, and one night I got there at 6:35 PM and they closed at 7 PM. The male owner of Lucky Nails was turning off the lights and the other associates had packed up and were ready to go. I said okaaqay. As I was pulling out, I remembered there was another Nail salon close by and I figure it's 15 minutes until 7 so surely I'm going to get the same kind of treatment. But to my pleasant surprise they were warn, inviting and did a spectacular job! Tristina and her brother Joe were a masterful team!! Needless to say, I haven't been back to Lucky Nails every since and the only reason I didn't give them a perfect 5 stars was because the last time I went was the day before Mother's Day and once again I was walking in about 30 minutes before closing, Joe was superb. Tristina? Not so much. My Nails LOOKED terrific but the same attention was not given to my cuticles the total care of the nail, kinda like appearances only. When I found out they were actually open on Mother's day, I said Why didn't you tell me? I would have just come back in the morning. She said oh no you are here now, it's fine and that was the point before it was spectacular, that day?...
Read moreI moved to the area recently and hoped to find a permanent nail salon. I have been to Nail Art 4 times this summer. The first two times, the pedicures were great. They took their time, I felt like they paid attention to detail and that I was actually pampered a little. Which, for $40, I think you deserve a little bit of a spa experience. The third time, it was very rush, they combined steps, the paint work was messy and the whole thing was just not relaxing. I thought okay, just a one off bad person. Last week, I went and it was horrible again. The pedicure was rushed and they were not busy. I tend to get ingrown toenails and the first two times, I got them out. Not the last two times, so my toes still hurt. The polish had a huge bubble in it I didn't notice, and before I got home, it had completely peeled off my big toe, so I had to make a return trip the next day (20 miles round trip). Then, the "repair" was one thin coat. I got barely one week out of a $40 pedicure and they look terrible.
I will be looking for a new place and taking my business and 25% minimum tip (because yes, I do appreciate what they do, when they do it well and not halfway) elsewhere. Very...
