Gatekeeper's Museum — Attraction in California

Museum staff was so knowledgeable about indigenous washoe tribe. Had a terrific perspective on settlers that added so much value to the tour. Her details on each indigenous artifact was incredible. The basket collection alone is a reason to make the trip from any part of the Lake, or northern CA, for that matter. Well preserved tools, baskets, hats, necklaces from tribes throughout the west coast: cosalish to ohlone to mewok and washoe or course. Our wedding at the Gatekeeper's Museum was perfect! The space was gorgeous and exactly what we were looking for - a beautiful setting, privacy, and value. Marnie was super helpful and quick to respond to emails and requests. Our deposit was also returned within a few weeks of our wedding. All our guests loved the space and were amazed by the fantastic views of Lake Tahoe! I would definitely get married...

Visited Fanny Bridge and the dam yesterday. A couple of the dam gates were open and lots of water was flowing into the Truckee River. There were huge Trout swimming on the downstream side of the dam.
