Museum staff was so knowledgeable about indigenous washoe tribe. Had a terrific perspective on settlers that added so much value to the tour. Her details on each indigenous artifact was incredible. The basket collection alone is a reason to make the trip from any part of the Lake, or northern CA, for that matter. Well preserved tools, baskets, hats, necklaces from tribes throughout the west coast: cosalish to ohlone to mewok and washoe or course. There were huge Trout swimming on the downstream side of the dam. On the lakeside there was a flock of Canadian Geese. Very picturesque and interesting.
