I'm a big foodie and have been wanting to try this Carrollton Chipotle for a long while. When it opened, Covid prevented you from going inside, and the drive-thru was not convenient to pull up and order. It was an online order and pick-up in the drive-thru facility. Finally, I was craving something different the other day and was craving Moe's. Moe's was a few miles back, so I was determined to try to approach Chipotle again. I parked and walked in. Upon entry, I immediately noticed the dirty tables and floor. When I approached the menu and display of food, it was not a joyful atmosphere. Several workers were in the kitchen playing around and laughing, and one lady was making the dishes. There was only one person in front of me, so I carefully read the very lacking menu. I saw the Carne Asada was advertised for $11.90 and the ad looked delicious so I chose that. The bar where she slid my bowl across was filthy with scattered ingredients and sour cream smeared across my bowl. When she loaded my bowl, the avocado mix fell off into the side tray, so she, very sloppy, plopped it back into my bowl. It was a mess. When she rang me up, it was $19+ dollars. I thought she made an error. She said the sour cream cost extra, the guacamole was extra, the cheese cost extra, the chips were extra- and I was really upset. I, without complaining, paid and left knowing I just wasted $20 AND knowing that I would never eat Chipotle again. I spend ½ that amount at Moe's and get tons more variety. Chipotle had no salsa bar, no limes, and when I asked for salsa, she held up the little ramekin of dark stuff and said, this IS salsa." When I got home and opened the salsa, it was so hot and had a terrible flavor, I tossed it in the trash. I began to eat my Carne Asada bowl to realize that my rice was not done. It was crunchy. The entire bowl of rice was very undercooked, so I lost my appetite, and it was so unedible. I'm sorry my review here was negative, but honestly, it was a terrible, sad place. I see now why Moe's is so busy, crowded, and offers tons of variety for way less money. Don't waste your money...
Read moreHaving worked at a previous Chipotle in 2017, I can say this location is absolutely filthy & the people working are not customer friendly (minus one) at all. I didn't mind the wait in line to order but I saw majority of the tables filthy and ended up not staying there to eat. The first gentleman was friendly but the rest of the employees were not and had a rude demeanor. Their food line was absolutely dirty & contaminated with all other ingredients. If you have any dairy allergies, I advise you to look at the food line before you order. They were out of veggies and had no intention of making more or saying they didn't have anymore to make. Upon asking for a receipt, the man at the register looked as if he rolled his eyes at me. He even looked bothered to get my two bags of chips.
For the price of my food, I also wanted the warm ingredients to be warm which I had to microwave when I got home. Luckily, almost 24 hours later and I don't have any food poisioning yet.
I absolutely love Chipotle but this location surely needs to prioritize cleanliness and friendly-ness with customers. As a food establishment, you quite literally sell cleanliness in addition to your food. It also doesn't cost much effort to fake a smile.
I won't be returning to this location anytime soon. & if I do & have a better experience, I will be sure to update my review.
June 2024 update: Returned to this location to give it another try. I made a terrible mistake. Had severe food poisoning for 4 days. I should’ve known better as this place was infested (literally) with flies. I was so hungry, I decided to just go with it. I shouldn’t have a paid the price. Please avoid this location at all costs. The health department needs to be called and need new staff to run the place up to code. Terrible...
Read morei know every company has their bad egg and sometimes people are having bad days but i do not see it as an excuse to be so rude to someone and roll their eyes when you come in and are being so polite and saying please and thank you constantly. i work in the service industry and the customer service i recieved tonight was absolutely horrible. this person was talking with their coworkers for about 3 minutes before she actually came and got my food and they were not busy. i never leave reviews but i felt not wanted and i didnt even order my chips and guac that i normally get in order to avoid more interaction with this rude employee. i had a smile on my face the entire time and was so respectful and i received none of that same respect back. not even a youre welcome. do not put people with bad customer service on the line chipotle! have them cooking the food or prepping instead of making them doing something they are bad at and do...
