Don’t sell to this place. It’s a complete scam. I brought in 2 dresses with the tags still on. One was from Zara which I purchased for $45 and the other was from House of CB which was originally $160. The sales associate gave me a ticket and told me it was going to be a 25 minute wait and that I could either stay in the store or leave and she would call. I decided to leave and come back. When I returned 30 minutes later, the same girl just stared at me, so I assumed she had not gotten to my ticket yet. So I sat down because I didn’t want to rush her or be pushy. Over the next 15 minutes, we kept looking at each other and she said nothing. Finally she left to go restock items.
So I went to a different associate and asked if I could come back another day to pick up my stuff because I had somewhere else I needed to be. She looked up my ticket and said oh this was done a long time ago. So I told her what the other girl said to me and then she said well if you’re in store we don’t call you. SO YOU SAY NOTHING AT ALL?! If I knew I was supposed to come to the counter and ask them about my ticket after my wait time was over, I would’ve. But no one told me and then she just stood there and stared at me but never said anything.
That’s not all. They offered me $12 for the House of CB dress and $19 for the Zara dress. And after their fees, they said I would only get $5. So I told them I don’t mind selling the Zara one for less but the House of CB one was ridiculous. So I asked her, which one is for the Zara dress and she pointed and said you would get $19. So I was like $19? Are you sure? She said yes. Of course after I signed everything, she walks over and gives me $1. She didnt tell me how much fees would apply to the $19. How does this make any sense. I...
Read moreLong story short, I have never been low-valled this badly in my life and it wasnt worth my time.
The good...great for if you like vintage clothes and brand name sneakers and purses. Most things are decent priced. You can sign up for their rewards system and get a discount. If you sell with them, you get a discount in top of that. For every item you donate that they want they will give you...a penny (more on that later.)
The bad...their clothes are not sorted in sizes, so shopping is tedious. I brought in 74 items and sat around an hour to find that they wanted to offer me $0.98. I feel like they weren't respectful of my time and that someone spent an hour of their time all for that little bit of money. I halfway feel like their donation program is a scam. They get you in cltelling you that Plato's Closet is more picky but uh...Plato's closet made it...
Read moreThis place has gone downhill. Shopping here used to be fun but is now difficult as there are too many items crammed onto racks so tags are impossible to see. This wouldn't be so bad if they organized the selection by size, but they don't. This hasn't been enough to keep me away but that changed my last visit.
I brought in 3 large grocery bags full of mint condition high-end brands of stylish clothes in popular sizes. This isn't my first time selling clothes here or similar places, so I know better than to only bring stuff that will fetch an interest. They told me 1.5 hours wait time. After 2 hours I went to the desk and saw my items were ready (but they decided not to call me as they said they would). It all turned out to be a waste of time as they offered me $.50 for everything. I...
