If you care about your eyes, NEVER GO TO ALL ABOUT EYES!!!!! On 8/22 I went to All About Eyes for an eye exam. I hadn't been there before, but my insurance changed and they were in network. The appt itself was fine, but the fiasco after is just insane. After the appt one of the workers was getting me checked out, she asked if I wanted contacts and I said I would wait a week since I got a different prescription. The girl said I should order them now and if the new prescription ends up not working then they could exchange them. I agreed and went ahead and ordered contacts. Paid my $50 deductable which came out on the 23rd on my bank statement. Recieved a recipt after my card was swiped and was told they would call when they were in. A week later I hadn't had a call about my contacts, but I was busy and didn't make it by until almost 2 weeks after I ordered the contacts. I asked one of the ladies working about the status, she took my name and left and came back and said it would be a few more days. Almost another week later, no call no nothing. I call All About Eyes and the girl can't find any record of an order, but they could order them now. I said I didn't want them to order my contacts since they can't do their job and obviously lie about doing it. I mean I only have one eye so it's like half the work and they can't even get that right. So I go to Bard Optical on Saturday 9/10 and they order my contacts, which they didn't order till Monday so they could contact my insurance and they came in on 9/14. Bard called my insurance to check and see if my deductable was met and how much credit I had left. Apparently All About Eyes never sent in a claim to my insurance. So I call All About Eyes and play phone tag with the Store Manager. Finally get in contact with her and she tells me that they need my insurance information so they can put the claim through, she apologized and offered me a $50 credit for a FUTURE visit. I rejected the credit because I will NEVER come back EVER! Then I find out that Bard Optical needs me to pay the deductible since they put the claim in before All About Eyes. So I pay the deductible AGAIN! I go to All About Eyes and talk to the Store Manager, tell her I need a refund and she said she will talk to her insurance lady to get me my refund, but isn't sure how long it will be until I receive it. Then I find out how far I fell through the cracks, I was supose to have had a return check to finalize the prescription that I was never supposed to be able to pick up yet and there was no copy of my insurance card on file, which they had taken when I went to the appt. The Store Manager also asks me details about who ordered my contacts and then who "checked" on my contacts when I came in, she then tells me the girl doesn't work there anymore and was throwing employee names around, which I thought was weird she would do that in front of a customer. I truly don't think the Store Manager or Employees truly understand how dangerous it is for me or any customer who only has vision in one eye to wear the same contact for more than 2 weeks, and I wore it for a little more than 3 weeks. If I had gotten an infection and lost my vision, this would have been detramental to the company. I will be contacting Corporate tomorrow morning and filing a complaint. If you care about your vision do NOT go to All...
Read moreOther reviews mention it and it is spot on. HORRIBLE BUSINESS. This place simply lacks any sort of management, experienced leadership or professionalism. It is full of young and inexperienced employees that act like this is their part time job and they have received no training. When you walk in you feel like everyone is just standing around hoping to not have to help anyone and when they do it seems very amateur. I went to All About Eyes because of their ads that rave about customer service and making finding the right glasses an experience. Seems like they should spend more time on training their employees or paying more for adults that care about their job and about actually giving customer service than just spending it on marketing and saying the words. They did not order my glasses for two weeks after I paid them even though they said the glasses would be in the store in 5-10 days. Like another poster said, one you have paid they don't care about you at all. When I kept calling to ask when the glasses would be in they said they had to call the lab and call me back, and you guessed it, they never called me back. 3 times I tried to get information from them and they never returned the calls. Finally I called a 4th time and said I needed an answer right then and they said they had called the eye care place where I got my exam (finally) and they had no record of me as a patient. This turned out to be a total lie to me and I proceed to call the Doctors office myself and they said that no one from All About Eyes had called them at any point in time. They then faxed over the prescription at my request to All About Eyes, the entire thing took about 3 minutes and the fact that All About Eyes could not do this most basic part of their job speaks to their incompetence at what they do. When calling to complain to the manager I got....absolutely nothing worth my time. Talking to the management is about as useful as talking with the staff, which is no surprise. She just keep saying she was sorry and felt that should be good enough for a two week delay in getting the glasses, her employees never calling back their customers, lying to their customers and flat out not being able to do their jobs. Then when I finally get the glasses, almost a month later, they just hand them to me. No one looks at them with you, tries to fit them to me, asks me how they feel. Just hand them to me and go back to talking with their friends instead of working. This place is certainly not all about YOU as the ads state. I strongly recommend you avoid this business altogether until they start to practice what they preach in their ads about caring about their customers and learn how to do the basics of their...
Read moreEmployee: Samantha I have been going to All About Eyes for years. Dr. Quivey is excellent, and so was the gentleman who checked me in (I wish I'd gotten his name, because he was so kind!) and went through the usual pre-exam protocol with me (checking depth perception, color blindness etc.). I was checked out by a Samantha who initially seemed really helpful and encouraged me to leave a review. She then sent my prescription to the wrong location, though that itself is no big deal -- mistakes happen! What bothers me is the way I was treated by her thereafter. I also want to note that I have worked in customer service and understand it is sometimes stressful, however that is no excuse for the way she exerted her frustration on me. I have been on her side of the counter, so I approach folks with kindness, knowing it is usually those higher on the food chain that make the decisions -- also I wasn't initially even upset. I just had a genuine question. Anyways, I received my lenses late, but luckily I had a couple pairs left which I purchased abroad. I later called about a question regarding billing. Samantha happens to answer the phone and immediately interrupted me, assuming I was calling about not receiving my lenses. She put me on hold. When she returned to the line she rudely asked me if my apartment had a mailroom that I didn't check. At this point I was able to tell her I had my contact lenses. I simply was calling about an item I was billed for. She raised her voice to where my partner could hear every word she was saying to me through the phone, with attitude and condescending language e.g., "Contact lenses go on your EYES...Glasses do NOT!" I truly cannot put it into text how vile her tone was. I'd never been treated so poorly by somebody I didn't even know. I was already nervous to call and sure enough was shaking and in tears by the end of the phone call. I think this is also my first Google review. I never thought it was worth the time. And perhaps it is not even now. But if you are a patient there I'd recommend boosting another employee's opportunities through...
