I came here for a gaming PC diagnosis because my PC wouldn’t turn on with two plugs connected to the GPU but would turn on with just one. Jeff was cool at first and told me he would be able to give me a diagnosis that would tell me what’s causing this, dropped the PC off and was told it would take 1 hour up to 24 hours and he specifically said before I left that he had to fix 2 ps5’s before mine so I said it’s fine take his time. 2 days pass and I have no updates so I give him a call to make sure everything is good, he tells me he hasn’t worked on my PC because he had other computers to work on which is understandable so I was like that’s completely fine just let me know when you’re able to work on it and figure out the issue, he told me he would work on it that day and call me by 5pm, he never returned a call that day as he promised. 3 more days pass and I still have no word from Jeff, I decided to give him a call and ask what’s going on, he tells me that my PC has been worked on and ready to pick up but he never called me which made me skeptical, I went to pick it up and he told me his “technician” worked on it and said there’s a short in the motherboard, I said “Okay, were you guys able to swap out my PSU and GPU with a working PSU and GPU to make sure it wasn’t that?” And he said “Yes we did”. He told me a MSI motherboard from him would cost $900 which made me even more skeptical saying MSI when my motherboard is an ASUS x570 which go for around $130-180. I eventually got my motherboard replaced taking his word for it and the PC had the same exact issue it had with the previous motherboard he said was “shorted” I called him and just to be sure I asked him if they were able to actually swap out my GPU and PSU with a working one and he replied with “No we do not do that” which doesn’t make any sense because I was told when I dropped my PC off that they will do that. I then asked him if I can speak with the technician that actually worked on my PC and he replied with “We have four technicians that worked on it”, I asked to speak with one and he said he was the technician which made no sense because when I picked it up he said a different technician worked on it. Nothing adds up and he just ended up hanging up the phone, I really don’t recommend this place if you’re having issues with a high end PC, you’re better off finding a place with actual knowledge instead of a person who is trying to up charge a mother board by $700. Be a better business man Jeff, very disappointing.
Response to owners response: You told me the wrong problem, you made me spend $350 just to have the same issue. I'd expect you to find the real problem if you spent over 24 hours doing a diagnostic on a PC with a bad GPU. If you simply replaced the GPU with a working one like you said you did then you would have been able to tell me the real issue. I doubt you even spent 10 minutes "working on a diagnostic". Like I said Jeff, be a better business man, hanging up on your customers mid conversation isn't going to make things...
Read moreI was able to receive my Galaxy tablet in a non-functioning state with the pen-touch after leaving it here for five weeks.
Week 1: I came here when my tablet had a water issue. The owner charged me $40 for a related diagnosis. The owner completed the diagnosis and kindly assured me that the problem was not as severe as I had thought, offering a 6-month warranty. So, I left my tablet with them.
Week 2: The ordered parts were delayed, and I had to wait until the following week without receiving the tablet as planned on Thursday.
Week 3: With the parts replacement completed, I was able to receive the tablet, and the owner instructed me to turn it on after charging for 2 hours. I was puzzled as to why I couldn't receive a charged tablet, but I decided to charge it. After charging, the tablet still did not power on. When I returned to the shop, the owner said that other parts had been affected due to the water issue (which should have been detected during the initial diagnosis, in my opinion) and that a refund was not possible. Instead, they encouraged me to purchase a new product (of unknown origin). When I declined, the owner said they would take another look and took it back.
Week 4: They claimed to have found the problematic part but postponed the repair until Friday. Upon returning, they postponed the repair to the following week again.
Week 5: Finally, on Tuesday, I received a product that could power on. However, the touch sensitivity was poor, and, most importantly, the tablet did not recognize the pen. I was shocked because I use the tablet for note-taking, but I had no choice. The owner kept repeating that it was due to the water issue (which should have been detected during the initial diagnosis, in my opinion, again), but I no longer wanted to engage in a conversation with them. Upon getting a diagnosis elsewhere, it turned out that the display was not genuine, and there were missing components causing the pen-touch issue.
If this issue had truly originated from the water problem, I would not have posted this review. However, as it was not the case, I am sharing this review. If you need a simple screen replacement for a very common product, I recommend this place. The owner is friendly and has the required skills for such tasks. However, if it's anything beyond that, I would suggest considering other options. Thank you for getting the tablet to power on. I will use it as a good external...
Read moreI brought in my 27" Gigabyte gaming monitor in to be fixed exactly one week ago today and I gave them $270 to get it done as fast as possible - they said that they had to get the screen (read: replacement screen) from China. I check in on Wed when the job was supposed to be finished and the representative wasn't there, but his technician was there and he put the representative on the phone so we could talk. He said come by tomorrow. That was after he said that he was at lunch and he would be there to speak to me in thirty minutes. I gave him close to an hour before I came back and he wasn't there. He didn't even mention the fact that he wasn't there.
That was yesterday. I get there and the representative is nowhere to be found in person. His tech guy puts him on the phone and he says that they got the screen and they put it in only to find out that it was the wrong screen. Now he's looking at another monitor entirely and suddenly the number of $300 is floating around in the air for some reason. I explain to him that I paid extra for all of this to be done - I give you money and you provide goods and services, and so far you've not provided anything at all. You've not even been in the building to explain yourself. He says to come back on Wed and he will have bought the monitor, which I didn't ask him to do of course. I just needed a screen replacement.
These people use the same tactics that shifty car mechanics use to get you to pay as much as they think they can get away with. If you're a college student I would advise you to stay well away from this place. At best you would be dealing with substandard service across the board and at worst it's a predatory scam. So far there is no professionalism, no quality, no value and very little in the way of a response. I'm already talking to legal council on this and considering the small claims court option. Yes, it is that bad. Buyer...
